More weird behavior by Bironas before the crash:

Two Belmont students say former Titans kicker Rob Bironas threatened to kill them and sideswipe the truck they were in before confronting a man and woman in another car and trying to run their vehicle off the road Saturday night. Minutes later, Bironas lost control of his SUV and died in a one-car crash.

Connor Fraley, a 20-year-old student, said he was a passenger in a pickup truck that Bironas tried to hit on Franklin Road during a high-speed chase, after Bironas made threatening comments at an intersection minutes earlier.

Gets more and more bizarre. So he watches a movie with his wife and friends. Says goodnight and leaves the theater room. His wife finishes the movie and reports him missing to the cops. Meanwhile he's out trying to run people off the road. Dead 45 minutes after leaving his home theater.

Fraley said he was a passenger in a vehicle driving behind Bironas' white SUV on Battery Lane when he and others in the truck noticed a burning smell coming from Bironas' vehicle.

"His window was down, and we pulled up and I said, "Hey man, just a heads up, something's burning from your exhaust. Your exhaust smells horrible, just wanted to let you know,'' Fraley recalled telling Bironas. "He looked over at me and said "I'm going to kill everybody in your (expletive) vehicle. It was so random, so bizarre I was like, "What?" And he said the exact same thing again."

James Harrison is back with the steelers after retiring but i dont think he ever put his retirement papers in.

What would happen if someone did put them in can they just come back anyways ?

Players that file retirement papers have to apply for reinstatement, but that's just a formality. Plenty of players have returned after filing their retirement papers, including Brett Favre and Randy Moss.

The reporting him missing part really doesn't make sense. I can see reporting a child missing within a half hour or maybe someone with dementia, but a grown man? That's very odd.

The Cowboys have replaced Morris Claiborne with Orlando Scandrick as the starting corner opposite Brandon Carr.
After learning of his demotion, Claiborne "stormed out of the facility" and skipped the Cowboys' walkthrough practice on Tuesday. The former No. 6 overall pick has nobody to blame but himself. He's flat-out terrible, and has been his entire three-year career. Jerry Jones even said Claiborne hasn't been worth the draft investment. Claiborne's demotion is disappointing for fantasy owners. He was an easy target for any receiver lining up opposite him.

1. Instincts to run to the spot where the ball's going
2. Physicality to tackle and/or knock the ball out when it gets to the receiver
3. Speed to keep up with most receivers and also break on the ball when the QB lets it go
Claiborne has none of these things and lacks the mental fortitude to make up for his physical shortcomings. Just a terrible draft pick and if his hissy fit lasts long this is probably his last season in Dallas.

Yeah from what I've seen he has none of these skills. He always constantly behind the receiver. Well except for the last play against the Rams. That's how he should be playing all the time. I don't mind if he gets beat once in a while that's just going to happen but it happens constantly with him.

Here is the latest from the local news station here:

The chase that was said to have happened at 10:45 or around that time the people trying to lose him hit speeds of 110 mph on roads that are between 30 to 50 mph in that area.

At 10:45, a Belmont University student driving on Franklin Pike called 911 saying a man in a white SUV was following them. They are able to lose the SUV, while returning to campus.

“We're approaching Wedgewood and there's a white SUV behind us and he’s literally trying to hit us right now,” the student said urgently. “We pulled next to him at a stop light and I told him that something was burning in his exhaust and he’s following us right now. He called us an [expletive]. He’s been swerving all over the road.”

Metro Police said at 10:48 p.m. Bironas was in the 10th Avenue and Acklen Area.

At 11p.m. Bironas' white SUV crashed on Battery Lane, plunging into a culvert and landing upside down. By 11:02, calls started coming into 911 reporting the crash.

"We can't see him, we're all out here trying to help him. Someone's going up to the car right now," a caller said.

"Okay, I'm going to stay on the line with you, okay? I'm sending the paramedics now," the dispatcher told her.

At 11:03, dispatchers heard from a woman who said Bironas tried to run her and her husband off the road minutes before the crash.

"If it's a white Tahoe, he tried to run my husband and I off the road," another witness told a police dispatcher.

The woman told police she and her husband were traveling south on Franklin Pike when the driver of a white SUV nearly hit them.

The woman said they pulled over to let him pass. Her husband got out of their car and asked the driver, “what's wrong with you.”

Daphne Lauderdale was approaching that area on Battery Lane at that time.

“As we approached we started to slow down because the white SUV was a little over the center line,” Lauderdale explained. “So they were going to have to move for us to get by. As we got closer, the white SUV took off extremely fast.”

Moments later, there was a crash.

Police said, at this point, there was no evidence that drugs or alcohol were involved, but toxicology tests were pending.
