and they all came back to the # of super bowl victories they have/had.

Bucs can't win vs teams with a winning record

they are a young team....basically in the same exact situation the Packers were in a couple years ago.

give them a year or 2 and they'll be a real contender every season!!!

my top QB of all time imo

1. Joe Montana
2. Tom Brady
3. Brett Favre
4. Peyton Manning
5. Dan Marino

Peyton Manning is equal with Brady and at his previous pace was going to surpass all of Favre's records but for now he's no. 4

I really wanna put some of the old time greats up there but really, who did they compete against? nobody can even name the competition because there was none

ESPN's Ed Werder reports that the Cowboys have fitted Tony Romo with a vest designed to protect the quarterback's cracked rib and previously punctured lung.

Michael Vick played with a similar injury using a similar vest last year. The vest contains Kevlar, often used to make bulletproof vests. It's more confirmation that Romo is determined to play against the Redskins, and all signs so far have pointed to him doing so. Through two weeks, Romo has four touchdowns compared to just one interception, plus 687 passing yards.

No John Elway? I'm sure there's plenty of people that would put Troy Aikman up there too thanks to his 3 Super Bowl wins. The argument against him is that the team was loaded on both sides of the ball and they assume there's plenty of quarterbacks that could have done as much as Aikman with that talent.

Elway would be 6 or 7 but his poor performances in 3 super bowl losses does hurt

One could also argue it was not until he was surrounded with a good corp of receivers and a stud RB that he actually did anything. Elway is good but over-rated to me, like Favre.

you can say the same thing about every one who's ever played the game

Would Joe Montana be #1 if he didn't play with Jerry Rice

Favre overrated? he has every QB record in the book and a quarter of the league play QB roulette year to year

Kenny Britt acknowledged that the same hamstring injury that bothered him throughout training camp flared up again in Wednesday's practice.
Coach Mike Munchak tried downplaying the injury by calling it a "tight quad," but Britt spoke more liberally. Britt said he "hadn't felt it in a while," so he checked out of practice a bit early. The good news is he "didn't seem overly concerned." Officially, Britt was listed as having had limited participation. It's still a situation to minor. Britt ranks third in the NFL in fantasy points among wideouts.

Peyton was easily on his way to being top 3 and as high as number one. He still can get there and is right outiside that now. Most of the others in consideration had hall of fame coaches and really great supporting casts. They put plans in and the QBs did it. It seems in Indy Manning has done all of the coaching himself and has turned mediocre players into probowlers.

I will always put Brady ahead of Manning because he has been so successful with a lot less talent around him offensively. Can you imagine what Brady could have done with receivers like Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne? Or a running back like Edgerrin James? To me, that is why Brady is a better quarterback, he's done so much with less talent to work with.

yeah the first time he had a legit pro bowler on offense was 2007 with Moss and Welker and look what happened

They are above average but you see what he did to Austin Collie, Brandon Stokely, Jacob Tamme, etc. You could put me in there and he would direct me where to go and I would catch 10 touchdowns. For those that say Tom Brady is better I can't really definitely say one way or another. They are the two best of our generation. I just know that Peyton has been more valuable because he does more and doesnt have Bellicheck. Look what happened when Brady was lost for the year. The Pats still won 10 games. The Colts will be lucky to win 4 this year with out Peyton.

you mean those three guys with 13 pro bowls combined are above average? and what did he do to austin collie, brandon stokley, and jacob tamme other than make them fantasy waiver wire pickups?
none of them are elite players and are to blame for a few of Manning's interceptions last season

They have him to thank for those pro bowls. And I am not arguing that they are talented. I am saying they were made pro bowlers because of Manning. If you ever really watched Marvin Harrison you would see he was not elite in any aspect. He was above average but put up elite numbers because of Manning. Those guys I mentioned were able to put up numbers similar in their stints as replacements because Manning just put them in the right spots and the balls right in their hands. The fact that he has basically been the head coach for his team as well on offense, and has never had a real good defense behind him just shows how valuable he is.
