Patriots and Packers look like the teams to beat
![]() ![]() I don't think I've watched the Cards once this year, but I know the story. 2 games ahead of everybody in the NFC, lost their QB but it doesn't really matter, etc. Are they a legitimate Super Bowl team? |

Still way too early to predict these things, as anything can(and will) happen. As I mentioned before, we are now in the "Mathematical" part of the season. ![]() ![]() |

I'm sorry but they haven't been relevant in very long time. The 3rd game is on the NFL Network, which is not shown in as many homes. So, again, the only way to really test the ratings theory is to subtract Dallas(and Detroit FTM) from the equation. ![]() I can only hope that happens soon! |

Dallas was involved in 5 of the top 10 viewed games of last year. No other team was in more than 3 of the top 10 games, and both of those had one of their appearances against Dallas. Those being Broncos and Packers. You need to give up on any kind of belief that they are going to remove Dallas from a Thanksgiving Day game on the off chance that they will get better ratings. |

NFL 2012 Thanksgiving DAY ratings 2012 The FOX Thanksgiving game (Redskins-Cowboys) was watched by an average of 28.7 million viewers topping all programs for the week (Nov. 19-25) and ranking as the most-watched show of the fall TV season. The CBS Thanksgiving game (Texans-Lions) was the second most-watched show of the week with an average of 27.3 million viewers -- the fourth consecutive CBS Thanksgiving game to top 25 million viewers. NBC’s Sunday Night Football (Packers-Giants) was the week’s most-watched primetime show averaging 20.9 million viewers with NBC’s Patriots-Jets Thanksgiving night game ranking second in primetime with an average of 19.2 million viewers. NBC’s Thanksgiving night viewership is tops all-time among primetime Thanksgiving games and the most-watched Thursday night program on any network since the Summer Olympics. NFL Thanksgiving 2013 The CBS Thanksgiving game (Raiders-Cowboys) was watched by an average of 31.7 million viewers topping all programs for the week (Nov. 25- Dec. 1) and ranking as the most-watched show of the fall TV season. The FOX Thanksgiving game (Packers-Lions) was the second most-watched show of the week with an average of 28.3 million viewers. The CBS Sunday national telecast (mostly Broncos-Chiefs) was the third most-watched show of the week with an average of 28.1 million viewers. NFL programming accounted for eight of the top 10 shows of the week. NFL Thanksgiving 2011 The CBS Thanksgiving game (Dolphins-Cowboys) drew 30.9 million viewers – the most for a CBS Thanksgiving game since it acquired the AFC package in 1998 and ranking as the most-watched television show this fall (pending Friday release of FOX Thanksgiving game viewership). In addition, the CBS Sunday national telecast (mostly Patriots-Eagles) drew 26.3 million viewers – the network’s most-watched Sunday telecast of the season. The FOX Thanksgiving game (Packers-Lions) drew a 15.8 overnight rating, tying with 1998 Vikings-Cowboys as the network’s highest-rated game on the holiday since 1996 (Redskins-Cowboys, 17.0). (Viewership figures for the FOX game will be available on Friday, according to The Nielsen Company. It will rank with the CBS Thanksgiving game as the two most-watched programs of the week and the fall TV season). NBC’s Sunday Night Football (Steelers-Chiefs) drew 20.3 million viewers and was the most-watched primetime program of the week (November 21-27). As long as the ratings are going up which they are the NFL will never remove Dallas and Detroit especially since it has been a staple since 1934 in Detroit, and 1966 in Dallas |
