If the CEO of a publicly-traded company had botched something as bad as Goodell has botched the Ray Rice situation he would have been canned months ago. Interestingly enough, if the Packers make the Superbowl and either the Broncos or the Patriots make it, it'll be a rematch of Suberbowl XXXI or XXXII.

I don't think anyone will be disappointed with any of those match ups

Or it can be XXXIII when the Falcons face the Broncos

Good luck with that, Falcons are 1-8 against teams not in the NFC South

Just need to get the wins at the right time. Lots of Wild Card teams have made big runs.

Has a team with a losing regular season record(assuming the NFC South champ has one) ever made it to the Championship game?

There has only been one losing record team to ever make the playoffs.

Oddly enough as of right now a Wild Card game would be Seattle (9-4) @ Atlanta (5-8). The only other time a team with a losing record made the playoffs was Seattle which hosted (and won) a first round game despite a 7-9 record vs. an 11-5 team.

The browns & lions both made the playoffs in the 1982 season.

Wanna guess what their records were ?

Ya, sort of a special case considering it was a 9 game season and 16/28 teams made the playoffs that year.

The 1982 strike-shortened season has to be the weirdest in NFL history. The league MVP was kicker Mark Moseley, who wasn't even perfect on the season in field goals, going 20/21, plus 16/19 on extra points. I'll never understand how a kicker won MVP, even if the season was only 9 games.

Fouts won OPOY in 1982 and either he or Wes Chandler should have been MVP. Not knowing the vote breakdown I'll bet Fouts and Chandler splitted votes since they both put up great numbers but were on the same team.

I wonder if there is any chance they rework the playoffs to where if a Div winner has a losing record and say the WC team is 10-6...they would have to play AT the WC team.

I get your goal is the Division title. But none of those NFC south teams deserve a home game. Either way they won't get out of WC weekend though
