On the field level of an NFL game you can tell if a person is about 10 feet closer to you if you aren't looking at them?

You have some ridiculously good pin-point accuracy hearing if that's true.

I've now slept on it, and while I think it is Pass Interference if it was called in a vacuum, I still can't get over my view that the Offensive player was off-balance because of being pulled down by the face mask and thus was effectively pulled into the PI, and that the extreme PI-type stuff didn't happen until after the ball had already bounced off the Cowboys' player back.

My view pretty much remains the same. Stafford made a god-awful pass and Detroit fans and Dallas haters want him to be let off the hook by the officials, while simultaneously ignoring the fact that the offense guy committed just as blatant of a penalty. And some neutral people are doing the "PI-in-a-Vacuum" thing I mentioned above.

And I still hate Pass Interference period. The NFL version is too swingy, and called or not called seemingly at random in a few plays in every single game. I don't have a solution.

*EDIT* I need to wake up before posting. Yeesh that was some terrible typos.

Mike and Mike have brought on a former Referee(Gerry Austin) who says because the Detroit Player never stopped backing up he believes it should not have been a penalty.

He also says once the flag is on the ground you can't pick it up.

*EDIT* He also says that Dez should not have been penalized because he didn't stay out there to argue and you don't want to penalize in that situation for an emotional reaction.

Not to mention it's not the refs fault a punt was shanked right after. People shouldn't turn this into a Bartman thing again where they think that everything after was directly related.

It's looking pretty likely that the Rams are moving back to the LA area:

Quote:
The owner of the St. Louis Rams plans to build an NFL stadium in Inglewood, which could pave the way for the league's return to Los Angeles.

Rams owner Stan Kroenke, who bought 60 acres adjacent to the Forum a year ago, has joined forces with the owners of the 238-acre Hollywood Park site, Stockbridge Capital Group. They plan to add an 80,000-seat NFL stadium and 6,000-seat performance venue to the already-massive development of retail, office, hotel and residential space, Stockbridge and the Kroenke Group told The Times.

I hope they go back. It's ridiculous that a city that size doesn't have a team no matter what the reasons have been. Looks like no tax dollars will be required either. Growing up they were always the LA Rams anyway.

it'll depend on how healthy Rodgers' leg is. if he can move around and is moble and is able to extend plays.......i think our offense will be able to overcome any inconsistencies in our run defense.

I want 200+ yards from DeMarco Murray and Dez Bryant and 0 sacks from Clay Matthews and Julius Peppers.

w/the exception of 2 TD's in Week 17.....the Packers held Calvin Johnson in check for the most part this season......so hopefully they can do the same to Bryant.

the way our defense has been playing the last 5-6 weeks or so....i'm optimistic about them keeping Murray in check.

hopefully Romo reverts to his old self this week and throws @ least 1 pick-6!!

The way the Lions were playing they were hoping for the same thing, in his last 5 games he has 14 TDs and 1 INT, I'd say that's a pretty good trend. Megatron is fading, I love how he basically cried after the game and stormed off the set.

like i said, it's going to come down to Rodgers' health. in a shoot-out.....i'd take a healthy Rodgers over Romo anyday.

how has your defense been this year?? i didn't get to watch the game at all yesterday except a few snippets here and there. and i don't think they were ever really on tv where i could watch them w/the exception of Thanksgiving.

Rams might not be moving this year but I bet they will be in LA within the next 5 years.

Dont the cowboys only have like 2 playoff wins in 18 yrs so if the refs are helping them they need to do a waaaay better job of it.

Cool to see the NJ guv in the jerrybox.

Yeah, my guess is the Rams would play the 2015 season in St. Louis and then move to LA for the 2016 season. They could play in the Coliseum or Rose Bowl for a couple years while the new stadium gets built. It will likely create an awkward 2015 season in St. Louis similar to when the Oilers played their final season in Houston where crowds are at best half full, which could lead to every home game being blacked-out on local TV.

can they put tarps in the upper decks like Oakland too? We might get the tarp/blackout combo. I'm intrigued.

Even the refs couldn't help those dreadful teams out.

Yep 2 playoff wins in almost 2 decades:

2010 against a depleted Philly team
2015 the Ref Game
