The Ravens and Ray Rice have settled their grievance, which was scheduled to be heard today. Terms of the settlement are unknown. Rice was seeking $3.529 million in base salary he was scheduled to earn in 2014 and was arguing that when the Ravens cut him they violated the CBA which prohibits players from being punished more than once for a single violation. Rice also argued that he was only cut due to the public response when the video was released. That would have been a hard case for Rice to win but the Ravens may have decided it was worth settling just to end the ordeal.

To the people attacking me for that top 10 list I posted with Romo at #3 behind Brady and A-Rod, that list is really just for this season. Say what you want and I have, Romo had an incredible season. Still think the offense needs to lean on him a bit more next year, especially since I don't think our offense has ever been this loaded while he's been in Dallas.

Stat-wise, Romo has had quite a few good seasons. Actually didn't he lead all QB's, this season, in QBR?

The Colts have requested that Josh McNary be placed on the Commissioner's Exemption list. McNary was charged with rape yesterday. I figured there was no way the Colts would use him this weekend after he was charged and the only question was whether he'd end up on the Exempt list or if the Colts would just release him.

Charlie Weis and Romeo Crennel had the same problem during New England's second championship run. Both Weis and Crennel interviewed with numerous teams but none of the teams were willing to wait. Finally during the Patriots third Super Bowl run Weis ended up with the Notre Dame job after Urban Meyer turned it down and the Browns were willing to wait for New England's season to end to hire Crennel.
