I think the Colts should lose draft picks for playing with no balls tonight. The league should be offended by their performance. #BallGate

In the era of free agency Seattle won't be able to keep that defense forever. They have a huge check to write to Wilson next year. All of those prima-donnas on that defense are going are going to want huge salaries.

They have Michael Bennett, Cliff Avril, Bobby Wagner, KJ Wright, Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor under contract for a few years, so that leaves four positions that they'll have to patch through the draft and free agency. Byron Maxwell is probably gone after this season.

I can't believe I am going to root for the Patriots, of all teams, to win the Super Bowl.

I always thought New England was the most annoying team, but Seattle has somehow surpassed them, with all their lame showboating and poor sportsmanship.

Even Russell Wilson comes across as so manufactured, with one overblown cliched sentiment after another. It's like he literally eats self-help books in his spare time and belches them back up for the post-game interview.

Two teams I hate. I am just hoping for a good game. I guess.

Seahawks had 1% chance of winning late in the 4th... haven't seen that kind of miracle 4th qtr/OT since Tebow. It was like the Dolphins game.

It reminds me of the Spurs/Heat Finals, Game 6 where, essentially, everything had to, against all odds, fall one way for a team to come back.

I mean, what is the success rate for an onside kick? Maybe 20%?

Seattle recovering that onside kick did seem to get in the heads of some Green Bay players, if even subconsciously. For instance, how do you really explain the lack of effort in batting down that ridiculous two-point conversion? Just very surreal to see a team melt down at the end like that. Outside of Rodgers, the Green Bay players seemed to be playing down to the losing script suddenly planted in their heads.

I'm planning on going to the Super Bowl and hope that that the tickets will be cheaper due to the matchup. It seems like this is maybe the worst possible matchups for ticket brokers, as the Seahawks just made the Super Bowl last year and this is the Patriots 6th Super Bowl in 13 years. I know the tickets aren't going to be cheap in any way but hopefully they'll go down in price as the game gets closer.

Ha Ha Clinton-Dix is a phenomenal talent but he's also a rookie and I guess the pressure got to him on that play. He sure wasn't impressive on the most important play of the game for his team in regulation.

Clinton-Dix!

Default Planning the Party

Hi,

I used to host superbowl parties but since ClearQAM dissapeared I don't have access to a high quality signal. So my neighbor will host the party but I'm planning on bringing a projector to her place.

She's a big Seahawks fan and we live in New England so most everyone else who will attend is big on the Pats (by nature of location not to mention ... they are fairly good... ha ha)

Just wanted to maybe chat about Home Theater type Superbowl party plans. I tend to make invitations with pictures of the team helmets and cheerleaders and stuff like that. My neighbor tends to make jello shots with some type of alcohol and we have games and prizes and stuff.

Might be a home game for the Seahawks, maybe Cardinals fans will show some pride and buy a bunch of tickets

No repeat for Seattle. Tom Terrific will grab his 4th NFL Championship and will ride off into the Arizona desert sunset.

Good luck on that, I just checked ticket exchange and minimum price so far is $2600 for nosebleeds tickets. I say if you are not a season holder you are going to spend thousands. Even for season holders I remember in 2011 it was $900 face value.

A ticket broker I've used a couple times has tickets for as cheap as $1,800, and right now is not the time to buy the tickets. By early next week the prices on Stub Hub will start to fall as people get more desperate to get rid of their tickets. I'm not expecting to pay less than $1,000 but am willing to wait and hope the prices go down.

Full disclosure...I'm a Packers/ Texas Rangers/ Spurs fans. I've now been a part of some of the most painful collapses in Sports history. Prior to 2011, that 4th and 26 and then 4th and 22 the Pack gave up to the Eagles in the '03 divisional round was the worst pain I've known. Since:

2011 World Series- Up in the 9th game 6 with 2 outs, Freese hits that double to force game 7 that the Cards then win.

2013- Up 5 with 28.4 seconds left, Kawhi makes one of two FT's, LBJ hits a 3, Ray Allen hits a 3 after not securing a rebound. Heat win in 7.

2015- Packers

This hurts. Someone is picking on me.

no sympathy from me, caj. One of your three teams are the defending champs! I can't even get any of my teams into the playoffs to have those choking moments!
