Or do we have somebody who pumped a ball to lazy to check it and a ref to lazy to care who eye balled it and said looks right.

Numbered balls being put back unnoticed.
You'd be very surprised at how easily this could be done and go unnoticed. I'd wager a large amount of money that this has been going on for quite some time.

Yeah cause if you eyeball one you don't just eyeball the rest. No those get weighed.

Again, that's speculation.

You're doing what FOX News does. Making assumptions based on personal belief rather than the facts on the table.

I get the pissed off reaction. Honestly, it pisses me off that Peyton Manning was allowed to get stem cell treatments to enhance his performance, while NFL drug policy slams others for doing far less.

Does that mean there was a conspiracy at play to benefit Peyton Manning? Not at all, unless it can be proven.

You honestly believe this was an isolated incident and the Patriots were not involved? History shows us that is unlikely.

I believe balls have become inflated and deflated all of the time. But, refs doing their job catch issues and swap out.

Have you ever held a deflated football? It's like a soda can. While you might not crumble it in your hand, if it's underinflated...your fingers sink in and the texture puckers.

Take a tire gauge and grab any generic ass football off the shelf and give it a go. While that doesn't prove direct correlation for this incident, it shows that are noticeable changes.

Deflategate is a non issue, but it gives us all something to do instead of waiting for the Pro Bowl.

I didn't call FOX News morons. I said they make emotional appeals rather than reporting the news.

MSNBC just exists. They're like the Weather Channel with Rachel Maddow. Easy to ignore and even most of their base doesn't give a damn about them.

I am simply amazed at the number of people trying to deflect cheating as ok based on circumstance.

Cheating is cheating. I don't care if you won 90-0, if you cheated to do so, you still cheated to do so.

AndersonVision, I hope you aren't a Lawyer either, as you sound like the guy who truly believes unless it was witnessed by the Pope himself, you can't be 100% sure what happened. And even then you might hedge as the Pope might have an ulterior motive.

Big difference between footballs off the shelves at Dicks or Sports Authority and the multibillion dollar industry that is the NFL. Big difference.

Cheating and other malfeasance has to be proven. While I'm not a lawyer, I'm also not given to forming a lynch mob at a moment's notice.

I don't like the Patriots any more than a casual football fan but I don't see the big deal here
You're really going to compare NASCAR to NFL? What's next, comparisons of WWE wrestling to the NFL?

Again, I said it doesn't prove direct correlation.

But, as you stated in your case against the Patriots, there's doubt in favor of the Patriots.

All we're doing is spinning our wheels.

Both are highly sponsored sporting events that skirt most national laws while getting further and further away from the spirit of the game?

Sports has so many cheaters in general I mean you know how many dudes are taking stuff. Eventually it's gonna be who can get the best stuff the cleanest stuff and how fast you can get it. You think these dudes getting 4 game suspensions are just trying stuff? You think the human face grows 3 times its size in your 30's. I care about that stuff being handled more than a ball being slightly deflated, something that apparently has been going on with multiple teams for years.

I say $20 million fine + it counts against their 2015 cap.

They did that to the cowboys for treating "an uncapped yr as a yr with a cap" they can do this then too.

Peter King is reporting that all punishment will be deferred to after the Super Bowl. I think the NFL is much more likely to hit their draft picks than anything else.
