Cowboys signed Greg Hardy. Heard the deal is 1 year 13 million.

He's well worth it, imo

Quote:
It’s a one-year contract, which carries a salary of $750,000. He can earn up to a total of $13.1 million (which was his base salary as Carolina’s franchise player in 2014) through a series of per-game roster bonuses, incentives, and a large workout bonus.

Specifically, Hardy can earn a workout bonus of $1.3116 million, a whopping $9.25 million in per-game roster bonuses, and $1.8044 million in incentives based on sacks.

The Cowboys chose to keep the base salary as low as possible in the event that another incident or accusation against Hardy puts him back on the Commissioner’s-Exempt list for all or part of the 2015 season. The thinking is that the Cowboys would only owe him game checks and not per-game roster bonuses if he’s suspended with pay.

On the field definitely. There's no question about his play and his desire. It's his off the field incidents that has always held him back. He was a first round talent coming out of college but slipped to the 6th round because of off the field stuff.

It's a very low risk deal for Hardy. It's heavily inventive based. It's going to essentially be a week to week contract. Not sure how it would work if he were to get injured. Seems like he'd just be screwed.

I wish we would've signed him to a deal like this, but not many teams seemed interested due to the off field crap.

I'm just glad Philly went nowhere near him. Another case of dynamic on-the-field talent, but a mess off-the-field. No thank you!

Greg Hardy (or his attorney) would have all the evidence the NFL wants, so that means Hardy is refusing to turn everything over. Not cooperating with the league is just going to anger Goodell and could lead the league to refuse to take him off the exempt list until they have all the evidence they want.

Karl has his own county ?

The 2 rule changes in wanna see are:
- 35 yrd extra pt - cause now they are boring at least that makes it interesting.
- each team gets the ball in OT at least once - dont like now how if team getting ball 1st scores a TD games over without other team getting the ball.
share share thats fair.

Sad that Hardy still has a job in this league. But the league doesn't care about domestic abuse or concussions as we already know...but always says they are about "integrity"...full of hypocrites

He and AP didn't play last year. If the season started today, they still couldn't play. That seems kinda serious to me.

Also, the facts about the Hardy case are extremely cloudy. Because no one outside of the judge, attorneys, and the people who were there know what went on.

As tight lipped as everyone is being, I bet the facts are going to be pretty damn disturbing.

I'd like to see a rule change of no touchbacks on kickoffs.
If the ball goes out of the back of the end zone, it goes to the 35 yard line.

To me, nothing's worse than getting all pumped up on a kickoff and just watching the ball go out of the end zone or the returner just taking a knee.

Kickers would be forced to actually use skill when they kick-off by implementing this rule.

Edit: Oh! And get rid of extra points. They're redundant. Skip the kick and just go for the two point conversion. Way more exciting.

That rule would never happen because the NFL is trying to increase the number of touchbacks since they're the most dangerous plays in football. They would get rid of the kickoff (which has been discussed) before making a rule to encourage fewer touchbacks.

I'd rather get rid of kickoffs entirely, than watch touchbacks all the time.

If they really want to make the game safer, they could just let the players play a videogame like madden or something that allows all 11 positions to be played on a jumbotron.

He did lose tens of millions. A team was going to give a mega deal for him had he not did what he did.
