Luck took over a 2-14 team and as a rookie went 11-5, and has gone to the playoffs all 3 of his seasons, winning 3 playoff games and making a conference title game. That's despite having absolutely no running game, with Vick Ballard's 105 yard rushing performance in 2012 the only time a Colts back has rushed for over 100 yards in Luck's career. Luck still has his flaws but he's only 25 and if I was starting a team and could sign any player in the league to a long-term contract Luck would easily be my choice.

Rodgers would still be my choice, but Luck would be second.

Default Ray Rice wants back in . . .

'I'm a rehabilitated man': Ray Rice claims he's a changed person as part of continuing bid to get signed back to NFL

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...igned-NFL.html

I'd like to see Ray Rice as a Dallas Cowboy -- Really ! ! ! !

A major contributing factor in Ray Rice's actions on the night of Feb. 15th, 2014 with his finacee, was Ray's comsumption of Hard Liquor.

IF Ray can stay away from the Hard Liquor, then I believe that he is a changed man.

Jerry Jones.... are you Listening ? ? ? ?

My Texans could use Ray Rice but we would never do that because our organization tries to only have "boy scout" type of players.

Well said! I agree 100%.
Luck has done quite a bit with less, and is still quite young. My only slight on him would be all hits he takes when running. Just slide!!

Luck is 6 yrs younger than rodgers.

So in theory you would be getting 6 more yrs with luck than with rodgers.

Sounds like Pierre Thomas won't be signing with the Texans, as his agent said the visit went well but they were unable to agree to terms.

I agree... and yet he's still overrated.

Several "analysts" and "experts" have stated he's the best QB in the league. Absolutely absurd. Now if I had to choose a current player to build my team around it would be Luck. Doesn't mean he's not overrated.

Future is bright for him, and he will win Super Bowls. But everyone is acting like he's already there.

I'd take 3 more years of Rodgers over 9 years of Sucking.

That 2-14 team had a slew of injuries on top of Peyton Manning. They lost like 7 starting defensive players and 3/4 of their team captains in the first four weeks, most of them season ending injuries. Not to mention the "Suck For Luck" stuff that started about 5 games into the season. That team was not a 2-14 team without all of that.

Furthermore, that 11-5 record was against the 3rd easiest schedule in the entire league.

I'm not saying Luck isn't a good player, but stuff like this is why he's overrated anyway. It was not Luck by himself that turned a team from 2-14 to 11-5.

That 2-14 Colts team was the most gutless and non competitive team I've seen in years. Whole team quit when Manning went down. Played with zero effort until they realized they needed to win one or they could actually go winless.

I'm not sure this was true...but with so many important pieces of the defense going down injured so quickly it's hard to say how they would have done.

Surely they would not have been record-settingly bad.

They wanted to lose (signing collins for qb isnt even trying) so they could win the "Suck For Luck" campaign.

One of the few times a teams did what i always advocate a team to do - when you know you arent winning just lose to help yourself down the road.

Jaws has luck #4 - guessing it will be:
3 peyton
2 brady
1 rodgers

Will never forget how we missed the playoffs because we lost to that pathetic 0-13 team.

But dude... they tanked. Clearly.
