Yes they'll almost certainly appeal, but from the sounds of it they won't seek an injunction that would keep Brady from playing, largely because there's no way they'd have the grounds to get an injunction. At the rate the legal process moves Brady definitely won't be missing any games this year, but this isn't over yet.
Edit: Roger Goodell just released a statement confirming they'll appeal the ruling, although Jason Cole of Bleacher Report says he's spoken to two owners today that don't want the league to appeal the ruling and just want the matter to die. Last edited by fatediesel; 09-03-2015 at 04:23 PM. |

Patriots are actually average cheaters. Are you upset that the same could not be said for the great Trip-meister Sal Alosi? Last edited by Musashi; 09-03-2015 at 04:30 PM. |

If Goodell came out the gate with 1 game for not cooperating, Brady probably would've taken it. Another court loss for Goodell. Leave the personal conduct to someone else cause he has proven time and again that he is inept in that regard. |

The Courts didn't say Brady did not do anything, although Brady's Lawyers and Pats nation will spin it that way. All they said is that what Goodell did in using his power was wrong. I think there are very few people who disagree with THAT. I for one, still believe Brady is guilty. 1) I don't think that knowing to look for bad footballs in a game where they all happen to be bad is a coincidence. 2) I don't believe Brady's destruction of his phone that day was an accident, knowing full well Wells didn't have subpoena power. 3) I don't believe the Pats suspended two guys for no reason 4) I don't believe that someone referred to themselves as "the Deflator" because they were losing weight, and 5) I don't believe Brady would not know that footballs were being deflated if they in fact were. Having said all of that, Goodell is a tool and was woefully wrong in exercising his judgment on how to punish Brady. |

Yes, if the NFL would eventually win the appeal then Brady would get suspended for the next 4 games, whenever that would be. In theory that could mean that if the appeal was resolved during the 2016 season and Brady lost then Brady could miss games in the middle of the season.
