Eli Manning and the Giants have agreed to a 4-year, $84 million contract extension. The dollar terms were known yesterday but Manning was holding out for a no-trade clause and the Giants eventually gave in and agreed to the clause. No-trade clauses are fairly rare in the NFL, with Phillip Rivers, Peyton Manning, Alex Mack, and Larry Fitzgerald among the few with the clause. The only thing holding up the deal from being signed is contract offset language, but that should be settled quickly. Including the remaining year on his deal Eli is signed for 5 years and $101.5 million with $65 million reportedly guaranteed (the amount fully guaranteed is unknown at this time).

Seriously? Between this and "RadioGate" this type of fishing for something to complain about needs to stop. No rule, no penalty. In regards to the radio, the NFL controls them. I'm more disappointed in Mike Tomlin's press conference than the way the Pats handled DeflateGate.

I also saw somewhere that Tom Brady is going to have to change his deodorant going forward.

There are various reports that he wears Axe deodorant and though Axe is only supposed to have a distracting affect on the female gender, it appears as though several members of the Pittsburgh defensive linemen were late off the line as the scent was just too much for them and this delayed their response time.

Don't even get me started on the unwritten rule that the center shouldn't eat Mexican food within 48 hours of game time and what that does to the smell of the game balls.
