Seahawks made a boo boo and got away with one if that rule is correct. But the ball was going to go out of bounds anyway if he doesn't touch it so I don't care. Lions only have to blame themselves for putting up 3 points on offense.

Props to Calvin Johnson for saying the game can't always be left in the officials hands.

He knows he should have secured the ball better. Doesn't mean that botched call by the official is right or wrong, but I admire Calvin taking partial blame.

Still, it was a mental error by a player...and a rather huge one at that. Players seemingly go out of their way to make needless errors all the time and getting called on it is part of the game.

And yet, I'm more alarmed that the officials missed it. Even watching it, I was like "Wait, I didn't know a player could do that?!" It didn't even seem fair to a casual fan who hasn't digested the rule book.

I don't have one, but NFL games, like all cable shows, are broadcast in 720p or 1080i, so it would look the same.
