16-5 in his last 21 starts isn't too shabby. Also has (I believe) a 9 or 10 game winning streak on the road, almost makes me wish we were playing Thursday's game in Carolina.

IMO they'll finish 8-8... That might be good enough in that division.

I still believe 7-9 might be good enough in that division.

National Sports personalities all seem to think the Giants are a really good team just waiting to bust out, and I don't see it at all.

Dunno why Bills played a good game sort of, You guys would have needed a hail Mary anyways against one of the better defenses in the league, while it would have been nice to try chances are against you in the fact you probably would not have converted.

That was a game I really wanted. We had our chances. It's so demoralizing.

BUF really had them on the ropes there for a bit, but unfortunately they make you pay for every little mistake. You almost have to play a perfect or near perfect game to beat them. I'd say that the NYJ and BUF played them the toughest out of the total 10 teams they've faced. We've got another shot at season's end, but we're in shambles at this point so I'm not expecting much from us for that one.

The Thanksgiving Thursday night game is so other teams can play. In your mind the tradition can be broken easy but thats not the case. Who would want to watch a Browns v Jaguars 12:30 Thanksgiving game. Det vs whoever always brings good ratings, same with Dallas.

I seem to remember having this exact same argument last year, the league is required to televise each team nationally 1x, Thanksgiving is the Lions requirement.

The NFL is ratings. Of course some teams draw bigger numbers than others, but any match up will be big on Thanksgiving. Why? Because....wait for it....wait for it....because it's Thanksgiving! People are home watching football.
Of course there is no way to prove this theory until the NFL moves off this idiotic handshake deal made decades ago. There are plenty of big audience teams in the league that we don't need to be handcuffed to Detriot/Dallas THEN everyone else.
Look, you're a Detroit fan, I get it. This is your thing, pretty much the only thing Lions fans can look forward to each year, but the reality is times have changed since this deal was made. The television landscape has changed. The NFL has changed. Everything has changed BUT this.

Totally agree. I find it rather comical in that during Goodell's reign, this one tradition has stood the test of time while he has seemingly destroyed every other tradition we had. The ONE thing I want the guy to do is move the Super Bowl to a Saturday and we'll probably never see that either.

That or just have Congress declare the Monday after the Super Bowl a federal holiday!
