Might as well to get the first draft pick.

I've seen 4-12 and 6-10 know what it gets? The 4-10th pick. Know where the best QBs get drafted? Top 2 maybe 3 at best. There is absolutely no point in going 5-11 this year. There was no point in going 3-13. There is going to be massive turn over and another new regime so it's not like a winning culture would carry over to the next year. 17 years of losing football has taken its toll on me. It's time for desperate measures.

Talk to me when your teams suffers through 20 years of no football and losing football.

Russell Wilson, Ben, Tyrod, Brady, Fitzpatrick, Brees all examples of QBs playing well this year not drafted in that spot. That's just off the top of my head. Derek Carr is another but he's been ok.

The Brown's crappiness this season can't be blamed on their QB play (which, overall, has been decent for the first time in a long time).
Camron Erving. Justine Gilbert, Danny Shelton, Mingo. All first round picks that have contributed nothing to this team. The Browns have continued to draft QBs with the 20th pick or later bc they think they are the smartest guys in the league and it continues to fail.

Those guys are the exception to the rule. What typically saves a faltering franchise? A top flight QB. What give a team the best chance to land a top tier QB? The top of the draft.

He rode Rex's defensive coattails to a HC job while he ran his mouth as a "source" to reporters the whole time. The guy is garbage.

Definetly not just QB play that has hurt the Browns. This year actually it's been everything but the QB that's been the problem. Starting with leadership. Owner, GM and coaches. They need to hire someone who's been in the league for a while and isn't going to have Haslem breaking down his neck to run the team, in order to get someone like that they need to have a nice new toy to dangle in front of them ( I addition to the millions of dollars) best toy I can think of is the 1st pick in the draft. Again there is no point in wining a game when your 2-10. What is there to gain?

Boom!
Quote:
1. NT Phil Taylor, 21st overall, 2011: The Browns swung a deal with the Kansas City Chiefs to move up and select Taylor. His rookie year was his best, but injuries have cost him the better part of two of the last three seasons. The first-round selection of Danny Shelton this year and Taylor's slow recovery from last year's season-ending knee injury ultimately led to his undoing.

2. WR Greg Little, 59th overall, 2011: Little actually had more receptions (61) than Jones (54) during their rookie seasons, and they both had 41 catches in 2013 -- except Jones only played in five games compared to Little's full season. Little is currently fighting for a roster spot in Cincinnati, where he caught six balls for 69 yards last season.

3. RB Owen Marecic, 124th overall, 2011: Marecic was released by the Browns after two seasons and ended up retiring a few months later after failing to catch on with the 49ers. Marecic re-enrolled at San Francisco State University and planned to attend medical school, according to this interview with the Performance Training Center.

4. QB Brandon Weeden, 22nd overall, 2012: Released after two seasons of mediocrity in Cleveland, Weeden now serves as Tony Romo's backup in Dallas. Not much else to say here.

5. RB Trent Richardson, 3rd overall, 2012 (Cleveland used the fourth-round pick from Atlanta to move up one spot and select Richardson): Released. Again. By the Raiders. Richardson may have a hard time finding another NFL job after he was dismissed by Oakland this week. He struggled mightily in two seasons in Indianapolis, which gave up a first-round pick to Cleveland for his services in September 2013. All is not lost on this front, however. The Browns used Indy's first-round pick to select . . . Johnny Manziel.
