If you're any player on a Super Bowl team during Super Bowl week there's no excuse for having to pay for sex from a hooker. Hot babes for free should really be easy to come by for these guys.

That guy infamous for trying to pick up a prostitute works for the Panthers organization and just gave a speech about his mistake. Guess the Broncos needed to hear it too.

I'm telling ya, there's gotta be a way to do this...
I'm not really sure of all the legality involved, but I wouldn't put it past the NFL to have a team of lawyers on hand, monitoring this particualr situation, with a retainer of several million.

It's about power and control for these type of guys. They like to own women.

The most mind boggling super bowl stat to me is still that no team losing by more than 10 pts has EVER come back to win - thats just incredible.

They probably pay more than 1 million just for the lawyers to handle this thing.

If it wasn't the NFL, I'd say this is about principles and them not paying for something they think should belong to them, but it is the NFL and they have no integrity with Goodell, they love bullying people. They just got CBS to squash an interview they had planned with the owner of the tapes and CBS was going to pay him $25k for his story.

I blame Goodell for everything that goes wrong in the NFL... Even if it's not his fault. Don't care. Still gonna blame him. He sucks, and he can take his $33mil a year and shove up his ass.

I don't think it's a coincidence that the NFL, from a fan standpoint, has continuously gotten worse since he became commissioner. He's a fraud. I hope one day karma comes back to bite him. Probably won't though... Because there is no justice in this world.

I guess that goes to show just how much the teams belonged there. Champions don't give up double digit leads.

I'm sure if the Titans ever make it back, we'd be the team to end that record. Lol we own A LOT of horrendous records.

It's fair. Most of the nonsense going on is Goodell's fault. I know sports fans never like sports commissioners but Goodell is as bad as any commissioner I've seen in my life. He just lucks out by being commissioner of a sport where even if you stink at your job the league still makes crazy piles of cash.

Interesting story I'd never heard before. Back in 1998 John Elway was offered the right to buy a 10% stake in the Broncos for $15 million with an option to get another 10% of the franchise by deferring salary amounting to $21 million.

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/14...er-broncos-nfl

Elways passed on the offer. If he'd taken the 20% ownership the stake in the franchise today would be worth $388 million. Even worse a good chunk of the money Elway instead used to invest in what ended up being a Ponzi scheme.

Not that Elway is bad off. He's worth an estimated $145 million. But had he gone the path given to him by Broncos ownership he could easily be worth at least three or 4 times that.

Roger Goodell said today that the NFL is expanding the Rooney Rule to require teams to interview female candidates for executive positions.

Should be the Al Davis rule. Al was doing this shit in the 1960s. First black coach. First Hispanic coach. First female in the front office. etc. He would even automatically cut any player who displayed any kind of racist attitude. I think naming this after the Steelers and not Al is another new Raiders vs the NFL conspiracy.

Al Davis must have really made some enemies. There appears to still be a lot of animosity between the Raiders and the rest of the NFL.

suing the league a few times, moving your franchise to another city without permission, etc. I think during the last lockout he refused to side with the owners as well

Yeah, suing the league multiple times (and often winning) isn't going to make you any friends, and the other owners are still punishing Mark Davis for his father's actions and would like nothing more than to get the Davis family out of the league. That's a big reason Bob Kraft accepted the Patriots penalties. He could have fought the league in court but the long-term consequences were too great.

Worst stadium in the league with the city refusing to help.....how do we come in 3rd place behind the Chargers in the race to LA?
The Rams I understand since the dude is using his own money but that was pretty amusing to finish last in voting

Do the Raiders have any chance at all to stay in Oakland?
