Probably a few dozen over the years. Those I've known believe they served to protect the rights of others, not to impose their views on others. Guess the vets you know are more of the ultra nationalist yahoo type, unlike the ones I've known. Anyone who gets themselves all worked up over a still photo of a pro athlete they've never even met probably has some serious personal issues. Sounds like a problem with them.

Unless you have the entire clip of Cam Newton during the national anthem that picture is completely useless anyway as a still photo isn't evidence of anything. It can easily be taken out of context, and probably is. Not many people just stand still like a statue through the entire national anthem.

The whole idea of mixing nationalism with sports is ridiculous to begin with. I certainly hate the mixing of nationalism with sporting events. But that's another story for another day.

Maybe he is. Who knows. I was taught that whenever you hear the national anthem playing, you stop what your doing and put your hand over your heart. I taught my wife and son this as well. I'll get off my high horse now[emoji14]
