From what I heard his teammates at MSU didn't like him that much. He wasn't named a captain which is pretty alarming for the starting senior QB. I'm not saying it's a fact he's a jerk but that isn't a great endorsement.

If he's truly unhappy in Philly he should offer to restructure his contract to get rid of the $7 million guaranteed he's due this year and the $2 million guaranteed in 2017, because no team would consider taking Murray with that much guaranteed money after how bad he was last year. There is no way the Eagles are going to cut him with that much guaranteed money, so unless he's willing to give up guaranteed money (which the union would object to and might fight) then he's stuck in Philly for at least another year.

He probably won't be in Philly after this season, but there's no doubting the fact he was sorely missed in Dallas last season, with all those key injuries.
Of course there's no way to know, but one could speculate that had Murray remained with Dallas he could've turned a few of those close losses into wins. Maybe even had Dallas going for the division in the final week?
But hey, we shall never know, but that's one small victory in an otherwise dismal season last year.
So I guess the Redskins were the big winners in the Murray signing.

He played against crap schools... Wonder how he would've done in a competitive conference. Would he be getting hyped up? No lol.

It just kills me when measurables are the sole reason a guy gets hyped up... If you're 6'5" 230 with little success... Don't worry, the NFL "experts" will think you're an amazing QB prospect. And if you're short or have "small" hands, they'll automatically think you suck.

I don't think he's awful by any stretch.
In fact I believe he made more good moves for Philly last season than bad ones. The problem with Kelly was he's not a people person, and that just rubs some the wrong way.

I knew someone would say this, but you're misunderstanding the point... Was he hyped up as the top QB prospect before the draft?

No... He went undrafted and didn't start for three years.

Imagine this were 2003 and everyone was hyping up Romo as the best QB in the draft without knowing what's ahead. That would've been considered insanity. But in today's world it only takes a few people starting the hype train for a ton of others to buy in. Could Wentz be the next Romo (in terms of small school, bad competition to great success in the NFL)? Sure. But I think it's pretty unlikely.

The Wentz hype is honestly unlike anything I've ever seen and I wouldn't be surprised to see him go a lot later than the "experts" are projecting. What teams think and what talking heads think are two completely different things. Mock drafts are irrelevant. Especially when they're being made up before free agency even begins.
