Dude, I don't know how many times I'm going to have to break down the basics of football... Eagles were last in TOP (time of possession) every year under Chip Kelly. Do you understand that this is a fact, not opinion? It's like I point this stuff out and all you say is "OPINIONS!!!!" when in FACT, they're FACTS.

When you're last in TOP, you're going to get your defense absolutely killed. They will be burnt time and time again because they're on the field more than any other defense. And guess what if the defense is getting burnt, that's on Chip. If the DC isn't making adjustments, then it's Chip's job to force him to do so of find someone else who can.

He doesn't fully understand the NFL. If you're last in TOP in college, it can work because of the massive rosters and weaker competition. NFL is completely different. Can't plug scrub subs in and get by. Chip just lets his defenses get killed and does nothing to fix it because he's the smartest guy in the room. Total stubborn ass. He and Ken Whisenhunt would be best friends.

Dropped passes aren't on Chip directly, but when you cut Jackson, trade McCoy, and let Maclin walk, you're losing A LOT of elite production. And guess who did all of that? Chip. You can keep making excuses for Chip gutting the team and getting rid of the most talented players, but you're going to continue looking like a full blown homer.

Dude, again... You're not able to blame Chip for the run game? Are you serious? He got rid of the shiftiest RB in the game to save money. Lol then he goes out and pays Murray more. But the best part about it is that McCoy was able to thrive as a pass catcher and running outside the tackles. Murray is not that. In fact, he's specifically a between the tackles runner, and Chip refused to use him properly because again, he's clueless and stubborn.

I honestly can't believe you're defending Chip so much. I honestly think you just can't admit you were wrong about it, so you'll keep making all the excuses in the world. I mean, hey that's cool and all, but everything I've said is fact. You can keep thinking they're opinions if you want, but you'd be horribly wrong.

We haven't had a QB since McNair, so no... We're not in this position often. And yes, I'm aware you're referring to draft position. Well, these past two seasons are the worst in franchise history. Haven't been bad this long for a while. We'll be back. You'll see what an awesome GM Jon Robinson is soon.
McCoy was going to cost $13mil.
$13mil for a social media headcase that might be facing felony assault charges. Uhm, no thanks! Not to mention he missed extensive time last season due to injury! Oh yeah he lost to Philly also! Chip saw the writing on that wall, and cut bait. If Kiko Alonso is average to above average, then Philly might be convicted of highway robbery! Philly wins.

Ditto MeSean, while he hasn't had any run-ins with the law(short of his house always getting broken in to), he's made of glass! He missed most of the season last year and once the topic of money comes up he turns into MeSean. Skills? Sure, but the added baggage was not worth it. Philly wins.

Maclin, while I would've like to see him stay, is concussion prone and missed time this season due to injury. He wanted more money and I'm not sure if he would be worth it. Push

Evan Mathis was the true loss. Letting a Pro Bowl Guard go on the fear of a camp holdout was a bad move. He was dynamic in Denver but filled a hole. Philly could've used him much more. Philly loss.
Herremans. He lasted what...2 games with Indy before being cut from that train wreck of a team. Philly win.

Now those are the guys that went out. The guys that came in, at least the big pieces, are all still here...at least for the moment. Assuming that doesn't change they all can make or break the reasoning of trading for/signing them.
Yet again, I'm not saying Chip is HoF material, but he's certainly not bottom rung as you paint him out to be. Yes, these are called opinions!
I'm very interested to see what he does in San Fran, and wish him the best of luck.

Still think DeMarco Murray was a mistake and the worst part for him is he just wasted probably 2 of the best years of his career to make bank playing for the wrong team. Plus Dallas probably drafts a bellcow to go with Run DMC this year so I don't see him coming back to us.

While I agree with a lot of what you're saying, it doesn't exactly discredit what I said.

Like I said, the TOP issues, dropped passes due to lack of talent at WR, run game, and defense all fall on Chip. He was the HC and GM. His biggest faults of those were TOP and the run game since he's literally the play caller.

Can't really argue the TOP and run game issues. Facts are facts. Certainly not my opinion that those were his fault.

If you need me to explain why the Eagles were always last in TOP with Chip, I will. But I assume you understand that.

Well you run 1.5-2 minute drives and you already have a small front 7 on defense with bad DBs, you're asking for well...your 2015 season.

Lies, damn lies and statistics.

New England had low TOP: AFC Champ game.
Stats can be bent both ways.
Chip can't be faulted for Matthews(having a very good rookie campaign) crapping the bed in his second year. Spent a first round pick on WR too, and threw in a couple FA pickups....all dropped balls. It's not the X's & O's, it's the Jimmys and Joes.

Pats were 20th in TOP. Eagles were 32nd. There's a massive difference. And surely you can understand the difference in the Pats having no run game and a horrible OL the final 3rd of the season. That kills TOP. Eagles suck at TOP because they run a no huddle, uptempo offense. Chip doesn't care. Quick three and outs, no rest for defense... These are things Chip doesn't understand.

You're really not going to win the TOP argument here. Would be nice to be backed up on it by someone credible. Oh wait, Floyd Reese has said the same thing. And I'm sure many others here agree that the TOP issues the Eagles had are 100% on Chip and a massive issue.

Again, these are the facts. Can't be argued.

Matthews had drop issues at Vandy. It's not surprising. Last I checked Chip was HC when they drafted him... We traded you guys that pick. Would've been nice if we could've owned you and taken a good RB instead of Sankey. But that's on Webster for being the worst GM since Matt Millen.

Source - http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/14...ategate-appeal

Quote:
Tom Brady's attorney Jeffrey Kessler was grilled by judges during the NFL's appeal seeking to reinstate the quarterback's four-game suspension for allegedly deflating footballs.

Paul Clement for the NFL and Kessler for the players' union representing Brady were supposed to get 15 minutes to argue their positions at the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New York. Instead Chief Judge Robert A. Katzmann, Judge Barrington D. Parker and Judge Denny Chin peppered the lawyers with questions.

Kessler in particular received pointed questions from the judges and Judge Chin said evidence of ball tampering was "compelling, if not overwhelming."

New England quarterback Tom Brady stands at the center of the Deflategate scandal. Winslow Townson/AP Images for Panini
Brady was accused of playing a role in deflating footballs in violation of league rules for the 2015 AFC Championship Game against the Indianapolis Colts, a game the New England Patriots won 45-7. He was initially suspended four games.

The league is appealing a district court decision to vacate Brady's four-game suspension. Judge Richard Berman ruled Brady received inadequate notice of his alleged misconduct and potential discipline and determined Brady was denied opportunities to question one of the league's lead investigators. Brady remained eligible to play and led the Patriots to a 12-4 record and into the 2015 playoffs where the team lost the AFC Championship Game to the Broncos.

There was no immediate ruling Thursday. Neither Brady nor NFL commissioner Roger Goodell made it to court.

The NFL Players Association declared itself "very happy with the proceeding."

Each side could find hope and peril in the tenor. The judges questioned why they should "second guess" Brady's punishment given the usual deference to an arbitrator, in this case Goodell. And the league defended the commissioner's power: "Could he have suspended Brady for a year," one judge asked. "I think he could have," NFL attorney Clement said.

The judges also questioned whether the punishment was "draconian for a few pounds per square inch." And they openly questioned whether the usual deference should be afforded to Goodell, whom they called "judge, juror ... and the enforcer."

But the judges seemed hardest on Brady's side. The judges quizzed Kessler about Brady's destruction of his cell phone, saying "the cell phone issue raised the stakes." Kessler, for the first time, said Brady refused to turn over his phone due to privacy and stalking issues.

A decision from the three judges hearing the appeal isn't expected for months and possibly into the 2016 regular season.

This marks the first time the sides were in court since August of 2015 when they engaged in settlement talks before Berman.

The essence of the NFL's appeal is that Berman did not apply the law properly in overturning Brady's suspension. The league's stance is that Goodell has the authority to suspend Brady, or any player in a similar situation, via Article 46 of the collective bargaining agreement.

At Super Bowl 50, Goodell said of the appeal, "This is not an individual player issue. This is about the rights we negotiated in our collective bargaining agreement. We think they are very clear, we think they are important to the league going forward, and we disagree with the district judge's decision. We are appealing that, which is part of the legal process."

Goodell added at the Super Bowl that he wouldn't speculate if the NFL would reinstate Brady's four-game suspension should it win its appeal.
The plot thickens.

Heres one from all the way back in 1995

Quote:
BURIED KNIFE FOUND AT O.J.'S ESTATE

A construction worker found a knife buried on the perimeter of the former O.J. Simpson estate ... and it's currently being tested by the LAPD in a top secret investigation ... law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

The story is incredible. We're told a construction worker found the knife years ago -- we have heard several different stories, ranging from "several years ago" to 1998, when the house was demolished.
The weapon is a folding buck knife.

Our law enforcement sources say the construction worker took the knife to the street, where he saw an LAPD cop. He told the officer where he found the knife and the cop took it.

Turns out the cop -- who worked in the traffic division -- was off duty at the time, working security for a movie shoot at a house across the street on Rockingham. Our sources say the officer took the knife home and kept it ... kept it for years.
