The Patriots signed restricted free agent receiver Chris Hogan to a three-year, $12 million contract. The Bills have 5 days to match the contract, but early indications are they won't match the contract because the deal has a $5.5 million cap number in the first year and the Bills only have a little over $4 million in cap space.

If the Bills don't match I could see the Pats cutting Danny Amendola. Hogan and Amendola have a similar skill set and Amendola has a $6.8 million cap number and the Patriots could save $4 million by cutting him.

As always I'm cautiously optimistic, but I'm liking this new look defense of the Philadelphia Eagills!

Shortly after Grimes signed his deal with the Bucs she deleted her Twitter account, so maybe the Bucs made her not being on social media a condition of his contract.

LOL I think they're just looking for a certain skill set. Tavon Austin would probably be perfect in NE.

Haha, I'd love to have sat in on those negotiations. Probably 75% of the issues discussed revolved around keeping his wife from embarrassing the organization.

Love it! Save $4.5mil off the cap(vs $3.5 if released) AND we get a draft pick(higher based on playing time).
There was a 100% chance Sanchez was going to get released anyway.

They should've offered the contract contingent on Grimes divorcing his wife.

At the very least she should be banned from attending games, home and away.

He damn well should pout if any of our scrub RBs are getting more carries than him... Only way that happens is if he's flat out awful for a month straight. Not gonna happen.

I'm pretty sure as soon as he got to Philly he realized Chip was clueless and too stubborn to use him properly. Probably asked to be used differently (the way he's supposed to be), but Chip just kept running him on HB draws and sweeps... Can't teach an old dog new tricks. Also, after 392 carries in 2014, he was bound to regress. Like he said, he's fresh now because he was able to almost take a year off playing for the stubborn Chip.

Wonder why the Niners haven't been signing any FAs... Oh wait. They have Chip Kelly and no one wants to play for that clown. Lol god I'm glad we at least weren't dumb enough to go after Chip. Mularkey sucks, but better than Chip. And before you compare their HC records, if Mularkey took over for the Eagles in 2013, his record would've been comparable... because there was so much talent there. Good situation. Mularkey walked into a dumpster fire of a mess in Jacksonville in 2012 and as interim HC for us last year.

Not at all saying I'm happy with Mularkey. I'm not... But certainly better for us than Chip would've been.

Enjoy the Braford/Daniel competition! An average of $25mil a year between the two of them. lol

That said, I think the Eagles have been doing a great job getting rid of Chip's mess... And that includes the Murray deal.

A large part of the reason I continuously do it is to pick on rickah because he still cannot admit Chip was to blame for a ton of the Eagles failures.

So every chance I get to make a stab at Chip, I'm going to do it. Just like rickah is going to make a stab at Murray or the Titans every chance he gets.

And I am sure there will be plenty of opportunities for both of us... Because Chip sucks. And the Titans suck. But I at least have hope because of MM8 and Jon Robinson... I have zero hope for Chip.

I thought Chip would be the best fit for Kaep, but it seems he wants out so bad that he'd be willing to go to Cleveland.
