The local beat writers give their own teams a grade, not an objective reporter (if there is such a thing) grading for all. Case in point: Philadelphia and Tampa Bay both got thumbs up from their writers

I cant believe Cook was out there until Round 4, the guy wins plain and simple. Hell im kinda pissed lions didnt get him as a potential Stafford replacement. That was a great pickup for the Raiders.

From what I've read, he did not interview well at all with teams.

A lot of fans are but that's Cowboys fans for you, myself I'm giving them an I with a probably final grade of a D. 1 new starter out of 9 picks and he's at a position they are beyond loaded at. I like Dak Prescott though, best QB they've taken since the 90s.

Jags have the tools already on offense and hopefully the momentum continues going into this season. I really hope the new addition to the defense will make the difference. We lost a lot of our games because we couldn't stop teams on 3rd downs. It's usually the offense that struggles all season long, but last year it was a poor defense giving up a lot of big plays. Despite going 5-11 last year, it was really a fun season because of the points we were putting up.

I'm very excited for this upcoming season, and something to really cheer for. I'm looking at a 10-6 season and finally win that South for the first time ever.

Man after studying Hackenberg's tape and reading up on him, I'm really excited for the potential that he has. I really think Franklin and PSU screwed up his mechanics after Bill O'Brien left for the Texans. Coupled with the punishment PSU took, it led to a pretty handicapped team talent-wise. I was watching the Temple game and their 6 OL got beat and I mean beat bad by a 2 man rush. It's truly insane watching how bad that OL was. Feel bad for the kid, but it sure looked like he excelled as a freshie in a pro style offense, the same in which Brady ran.

Your braintrust is still leaning on Geno Smith and I can't blame them, Hackenberg will need probably 2-3 seasons of sitting and learning before he's ready, like Dak Prescott.

I don't think he is that far. I think he's closer than most think. He has work to do. You can tell he's a study nut and I love that about him. And the leadership factor he has is off the charts. I'm very much warming up to him. But maybe because us Jets fans are so thirsty for an actual QB

Personally, I think it is imperative that Fitzpatrick signs a 1 year deal with us. We don't need Hack learning from Geno. He needs to be shown the ropes from someone who actually has put up a decent season.

Jags had a dream draft. Reminds me of us in '14 with Buffalo passing on Mack. They really had everything fall into place for those first two picks.

Love what Dallas did too. Buffalo kicked ass as well.

I give Oakland a B. Our biggest need was Safety and we got the #2 ranked guy. Ended up with a trade piece in a few years with the #4 ranked QB. Everything else was puzzling.

If a couple players come back from injury 100% it could be like the Jags have three first round picks joining that defense. Jack definitely would have been a top 10 pick if he was healthy, and they've got 2015 #3 pick Dante Fowler returning, who missed his entire rookie season with a torn ACL suffered during a minicamp last May. It's impossible to know how Jack and Fowler will come back from their injuries but if they are close to as good as projected before their injuries then the Jags defense could be greatly improved.
