6 winning seasons and playoff berths and 3 division titles in 21 seasons, and hasn't finished higher than 3rd in his division in his last 6 seasons. He hasn't won a playoff game since the 2003 season. He's 9 games under .500 with the Rams. The Rams need to get better so they can sell season tickets and PSLs for their new stadium, and that doesn't seem likely with Mr. 8-8 as their head coach.

3 of Fisher's former assistants have gone on to become head coaches: Gregg Williams, who was 17-31 as the Bills coach, Jim Schwartz, who was 29-51 in Detroit, and Mike Munchak, who was a stellar 22-26 in Tennessee.

As I've said before... Really glad you guys recognize that Fisher is not good.

You wouldn't believe the outcry when he was forced out here. We have some real delusion homer fans who thought he was a top 5 coach. Some are still butthurt about it.

Just because we've sucked even more since we got rid of him doesn't mean it was the wrong move. It means we've been hiring the wrong people. And I'm afraid that trend is continuing with Mularkey, but I am willing to ignore his lone season in Jacksonville and his 9 games with us last year. That puts him at 14-18 with Buffalo. Certainly not good, but who knows what he can do with a QB like Mariota and a good GM in Robinson. I have to be cautiously optimistic.

I'm glad we've sucked even worse since Fisher. Never would've gotten Mariota if he stayed because he doesn't suck bad enough to go 2-14.

Mike Mularkey is a terrible coach. I've had the honor of watching him waste the Falcons offensive talent for years. As a Panthers fan it was glorious.

Saw 3 preview mags out already & their pix were:

cards over bengals (what a snoozefest thatd be)
pats over seahawks
pats over packers

You can be a bad OC and be a good HC... and vice versa.

More than likely he will suck as a HC, but when he's had a good QB, he's done a decent job. And I'm confident that Mariota is a good QB.

We shall see... If we are not 8-8 by the 2017 season, he's more than likely gone.

At least Cards over Bengals would be novel.

I'd despise having Pats/Seahawks, again. Pats/Packers isn't much better.

Someone I've been talking with said the Bucs have a worse OL than the Titans. Any way to switch the narrative on how Mariota is worse than Shameis.

I saw Athlon's 2016 preview mag. They have Patriots over Cardinals in the Super Bowl.

I think everyone just expects the Pats to be no worse than 2-2 even without Brady.

And I don't think there's an AFC team (other than the Pats) that can get to 12-4 this year. 11-5 could be good enough for home field. Who knows. I expect the Pats and Steelers to have the top two seeds.

I'm assuming the courts are going to grant his request to be re-heard and thus remove the suspension again.

The main reason I think this is that every single court decision has gone opposite what seems to make sense to me, so why not continue?

I really hate when something like this gets into the courts. I know the theory is that judges are neutral and un-biased, but they clearly are not. If they were, there wouldn't be a divide in the Supreme Court the way there is.

And honestly, when it comes to football, who is completely rational anyway?

Former NBA guard Nate Robinson is trying out for the Seahawks today. He's been trying to get a tryout for months as his NBA career has seemingly ended. Robinson played cornerback at Washington in 2002 and started the second half of the season as a true freshman but then gave up football to focus on basketball. It seems unlikely Robinson will be signed after so many years away from the game and that his hometown team might just be throwing him a bone, but you never know.

Doesn't sound like contract negotiations are going very well with Stephon Gilmore. I know a lot of posturing goes on with both sides during this process, but it's stressing me out.

Bucs OL was pretty awful to start the season. Not sure how much better it got as the season progressed, but Winston is the real deal too. I wanted him more than any player last year (if the Bucs had gone Mariota).

I don't think we will know who is better for at least a couple more years, but the homer in me believes Mariota will be. Jameis has the deep ball down. Not sure Mariota will ever be able to throw accurately beyond 25 yards.

Wish they got to face each other more often. That week 1 beat down was a thing of beauty... Mariota's second pass of his career was a 52 yard TD. Jameis' first pass of his career was a pick 6 - to Coty ****ing Sensabaugh. Lmao

News I've been waiting to hear: Philly extends Fletcher Cox to a 6yr deal.

Guy is a total beast! Can't wait to see him in Jim Schwartz's 4-3 defense.

I doubt he will reach Haynesworth level domination with Schwartz, but I bet he comes close... And he's a good guy you can count on for years unlike Fat Al. He will do great with Schwartz. 4-3 suits him better anyways.

Just going by stats, Fletch is on pace to blow Haynesworth out of the water, and he's played in a limiting 3-4 double gap defense for the bulk of his career.
With the 4-3 he could be scary good.
