Oh God........not me! A few years ago I bought my current house. I was adamant about getting satellite for the first time and finally ditch cable. I didn't even care between DirecTV or Dish Network, I just wanted satellite. DirecTV ended up my choice, mainly with the NFL Ticket. So I called them and they came out and what not.

The technician that came was "oh yeah, no problems here installing it, but I'll have to get another guy out for the actual installation". But he advised I pay a $100 charge for complete wireless setup the way my house is designed. No problem, paid it right there over the phone. Alright... so 2nd technician comes out a day or two later. And then says "No way it'll work here, too many trees all over, no matter how high we install the dish". He said he could still install it, but was not confident whatsoever the reception would be great. Fine, stuck with cable.

So I called DirecTV and said they can't install it, so go ahead and cancel the whole thing and refund the $100.

It ended up taking me VARIOUS calls and time over a four month period before I was finally canceled out and refunded.

Ugh, sorry to hear that.

Note: Never let any installer install/affix a satellite dish to your roof or the side of your house...provided you have a clear view of the sky, put it in the ground.

So that you can easily adjust it?

This is so stupid. The guy has it within him to do any number of things that could help a lot of other people in the world. I don't know what he's doing by continuing this silly attempt at playing pro sports. Hope he doesn't go through with this baseball idea.

So that the installer doesn't punch holes in your roof and cause leaks or rip off the siding on your house. When I first moved in here, the installer tried twice (unsuccessfully, I might add) to affix my dish to the side of my house by drilling through the siding and both times, it pulled off during a storm. The third time, a new guy came out, dug a hole on the side of the house, bought some Quik-Crete from Home Depot and concreted the pole in the ground. It has been fine ever since and that was like 10 years ago.

Injury bug is biting the pats hard. Edelman just made out of PUP list and boom reinjured again and also Ninkovich with torn triceps and they say it is a 4-6 weeks to return but I doubt it based on same injury with other players.

Edelman just tweaked his foot and was back at practice today so his injury was nothing serious. The 4-6 week timetable for Nickovich makes sense because he tore his triceps muscle and not his triceps tendon. If he had torn the tendon he would need surgery and likely be out for the year, but tearing the muscle doesn't require surgery and just requires rehab.

Week 6 is his goal. We'll see if he is ready by then. Regardless, he'll be on a snap count for a few weeks.

Gotcha. That being the case, I'd love to steal a win Week 2 in BUF especially given that it's a TNF game/short week.

Source - http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...ture-contract/

Quote:
The NFL Media report, attributed to an unnamed member of the Steelers, regarding the recurring headaches suffered by tight end Ladarius Green raises questions about the player’s future, and regarding his contract.

First, rumors of Green dealing with lingering headaches have been circulating since training camp opened. The person who first mentioned the ongoing headaches to PFT suggested that Green is considering retirement. If the headaches don’t resolve, retirement remains an option.

Second, earlier today the same source told PFT that there’s new speculation that the Steelers may eventually cut Green.

Third, the Steelers could end up recovering (or at least trying to recover) Green’s $4.75 million signing bonus. If he retires, Green definitely owes the money. Even if he’s cut, however, there’s a chance the Steelers could make the same argument the Patriots advanced three years ago regarding defensive end Jonathan Fanene.

in 2013, the Patriots signed Fanene, gave him a $3.85 million signing bonus, and later cut him due to a knee injury that, as the team argued, came from a condition he had failed to disclose. If Green didn’t tell the Steelers he was still experiencing headaches at the time he was signed (and if he was indeed experiencing headaches), the Steelers could try to recover the $4.75 million.

In Fanene’s case, the grievance was settled, allowing the player to keep the $2.5 million he had received while also allowing the team to keep the $1.35 million balance.

Well Fisher knows all about 7-9. He's the king of winning 6 to 8 games a year, just enough to not get fired.
