The story is behind a paywall, but the opening that is available says they would still have the traditional Thursday night opener the same week. I wonder what time the game would be because there's a 12 hour time difference between China and the Eastern time zone, so it would be difficult on a weekday to find a time that would work well for the US and Chinese fans.

These foreign games are getting out of hand. A game in Mexico makes sense due to the close proximity and similar time zones. London makes some sense and I have to admit it's fun to watch games at 9:30AM, but China?! Come on.

I believe Germany is in line to get a game as well.

I think we are witnessing the sharp decline of the NFL. This league seems to be getting so watered down it's ridiculous.

I don't think that is the case, but I don't know how the NFL plans on handling the logistics of having so many international games. As you mentioned China is quite a different animal than Europe.

I do. Between a few straight seasons of terrible officiating, off the field issues and minor scandals it's been a bad look for the NFL as of late.

The NFL seems to be stronger than it has ever been. When problems arise they are just under a bigger microscope now due to the times we live. Social media and technology has made everything so visible. But that doesn't mean the NFL is weakening, frankly I feel the opposite seems to be occurring. The NFL is going global and becoming bigger and even more successful.

Again, it is just preseason, but he busted two long runs (one 71 yard TD) and ran with purpose. Chip's system was horrific for him. I'm way more worried about our OL, WRs and defense than I am anything else... Which is obviously a lot.

Oh and Mettenberger is pure garbage. I was so wrong to ever even think to move forward with that loser at QB. He did show flashes as a rookie, but as soon as he had to fill in for Mariota last year it was clear he sucked.

He went 2/8 with an INT and had a 0.0 rating.

Even though it was just preseason, it was nice to see the Whiz and Mett lose.
