The Saints couldn't manage 8 wins. But as a fan of their history, you must have been ecstatic with another losing season.

Dak has looked great in preseason no doubt, but I am interested to see how he will do when he faces actual NFL defenses that have game planned for him and are not using vanilla schemes.

I think he will be good, but I don't think the Cowboys wanted him to be the starter at this point. Definitely going to be interesting.

Yeah best case scenario would've been Romo starting all or most of this season, then Dak taking over next year. Romo's brittle though so this was only a matter of time, ride or die with Dak, at least we should know if he's the answer soon.

True, we're about to find out what this kid has. It's crazy to think when camp opened he was the 3rd string QB and now he has been named the Week 1 starter, I did not see that happening lol.

Now, what to do with my fantasy team, taking Romo in the 9th round seemed like a steal at the time.

Yeah this is why I didn't keep Romo in the league where I'm taking over a team. I kept Devonta Freeman and Julio Jones instead, Romo's body is just about done being able to handle NFL hits. Sad thing really, such a nice career about to end with quite a whimper instead of a bang.

I'm with you on Freeman, I took him 14th overall this year.

But back to Romo, it is sad that a QB with his stats and ability will most likely be remembered in a negative light by most fans.

I wasn't his biggest fan at first and the fact that he lacks success in the post-season hurts but to me he's a top 10 all-time QB. He was quite fun to watch when he was on and he was a huge boon after all those horrible post-Aikman QBs.

I like the Patriots because I respect the cheating prowess that Bill and Bieber have. Unmatched by any in the league .. I'm very proud of their capabilities

Can be hard to tell on the Internet. I'm in a glass case of emotion regarding Romo but I knew this day would come, just hope Prescott is more ready than rookie QBs tend to be.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Dak does this season. I loved watching him at Mississippi State. He's had the most talked about preseason since Russell Wilson. If Dak performs well, then Tony Romo isn't getting his job back.

Some Cowboys fans are comparing him to Brett Favre, I wish those comparisons would stop.

So we can expect a lot of turnovers?

I doubt it, Prescott is quite intelligent and averaged 1 INT per 50 passes at Mississippi State. Romo only threw 1 INT per every 2.4 TDs, expecting similar numbers from Prescott.

Colin Kaepernick told reporters Sunday that he will "continue to sit" during pre-game National Anthems.
This assumes Kaepernick is on an NFL roster this season, and attending games at all. While it is certainly within his rights to sit when the National Anthem is played, it has caused a P.R. nightmare in San Francisco and will remain one for as long as Kaepernick is showing up on Sundays. Other teams likely now view him as toxic. It's no secret Kaepernick is disliked by teammates, even prior to the National Anthem thing. Combined with his poor play, Kaepernick's protestation could become a career-threatening decision.
