Definitely won't see these teams in the bowl. I hope. Can't watch it again.

Wow, looks like Denver is still good enough to win big games with a sock puppet at QB.

Yep, totally agree. There were some helmet to helmet hits on Cam that should've been called but weren't. I could have accepted the Panthers' loss a lot easier if there was some actual officiating out there.

I really hope players don't kneel on Sunday during the national anthem. It's the 15th anniversary of September 11th. A day we must never forget.

I hate Denver........and did not see them winning. No one picked them to win in my Pickem league.

Carolina was sloppy. I thought they would have executed much better, and Cam taking all those shots did not help any.

And screw you Brandon Marshall (Denver's).

And how does what you do during the National Anthem effect any of that?

Absolutely HORRIFIC officiating. In addition to all the hits to Cam's head there was the burned timeout in the second half that was called simply to allow the refs more time to correct the call that they missed.

I felt like Cam wasn't the same after the shot that injured him for a bit. In addition, CAR's complete lack of a sense of urgency on the final drive was quite the head scratcher. After Gano made the FG when he was iced, I turned to my lady and said, "watch, here comes the shank" and lo and behold...

Cam doesn't remember playing the game after taking that last shot. I'm sure the NFL will penalize us for him still being in the game. Won't make the calls on the field but will give out fines afterwards. Way to be proactive NFL. Still heated over the game last night.

And 9/11 has nothing to do with whether or not you "honor our nation". Stand, sit, kneel, sleep, whatever. It's all a personal moment. Who cares if somebody wants to view it differently than you?

Chiefs fans yell "Chiefs" over brave, and nobody says anything. Orioles fans yell "O". Thrashers fans used to yell "Knights" during it. Tebow kneeled and prayed during it.

If somebody else celebrating or not celebrating a moment matters to you, you're the problem, not them.

I strongly believe it is very important to honor our country, our flag, and our soldiers during the national anthem. As Americans we will never agree on everything, but when that national anthem is being played it is important to show respect. People from all different races, sexual orientations, sexes, etc. gave the ultimate sacrifice for those Stars and Stripes. Stand and put your hand over your heart please.

You definitely could tell he suffered concussions and was disoriented. I mean, did you see the outfit he has wearing during the post-game press conference?

But then again, it's just Cam being Cam. All kidding aside, he took some nasty hits and it will be interesting to see what all happens from the aftermath, if anything. Cam was failed on so many levels; the officials for not calling these hits in the first place (which probably allowed certain Broncos players to think, "oh they're not call going to call these? Well cool, then I'll lay one into his head too.") Cam was also failed by the Panthers by allowing him to go back out there after these hits, when he clearly shouldn't have been. It's questionable if the concussion protocol was truly even followed in the first place. They should have trotted Derek Anderson or Joe Webb out there earlier on. Who knows what long-term effects this will have on him.

And I can pretty much guarantee that if these hits to the head were applied to quarterbacks like Peyton Manning (back when he was actively playing), Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady ... the penalties would have been called. Officials either were doing their best Stevie Wonder impersonations out there or simply chose to look the other way. It's a damn shame.

Refs let the Broncos get away with textbook head hunting. Can't root for any team that plays like that. Hope they miss the playoffs.

Totally agree on all points. In fact, Anderson was shown warming up on the sidelines at one point.

Apples and oranges. Their protest has no bearing on 9/11 or vise versa.

They are honoring it via non-violent protest that hurts nobody.

Technically, it hurts nobody, but it is disrespectful.

Problem is, now it's such a "thing" recently that the cameras now have to zoom in on players when they are either sitting or taking a knee during the anthem. In essence, the sports media are whoring themselves out by shooting footage of these players with their "protest" which gives them the attention that they so desperately crave.

But I love how that female soccer player Megan Rapinoe (who??? yeah I had to google for her name too lol) feels that she was "wronged" because she didn't get a chance to protest since they played the anthem while she was in the locker room.

Wondering how long it is before an NFL player (and probably some no-name scrub, at that) decides to burn a flag in protest next. Calling it that it happens before the end of this month.

That's beyond laughable. There is nothing against league rules regarding sitting during the national anthem. Flag burning on an NFL field would likely be considered arson, which is an obvious crime. Unless you're talking about burning a flag on their own time on their own property, which is generally perfectly legal.

As for the media covering it, well just blame yourself. It obviously interests you or you wouldn't be discussing it in online forums. You sound like one of those people who complain about other people rubbernecking around car accidents only to do the same thing when you come upon the crash site.
