Honestly, I don't get all of the "HoF, top this, MVP that" talk...if your (in general, not you BizCat) team is winning and is playoff bound, who cares? It's almost like it's being driven by validation.

If not for his awful stat line against the Broncos, I think Mariota deserves to be on that list if they're gonna put a damn kicker on there and guys like Carr and Prescott who also had awful games recently.

Mariota was the #1 QB in the NFL from weeks 5-12. That's two months of putting up the best numbers. He's currently tied 5th in passing TDs and is 7th in passer rating. More TDs than Carr and Prescott... higher passer rating than Carr.

Not saying he's the MVP by any means, but he's still being very overlooked IMO. Also, just sayin' if Mariota had Cooper and Crabtree to throw to... he'd be killing it. Can't wait until we improve this WR corps over the next couple of years.

Basically. Not sure why anyone would disagree with you. It's well known that pro sports commissioners (at least in the U.S.) are employed by the team owners. It's that way in every major sport.

That's why these stooges get a cushy job for life. As long as they play by the rules of the owners and don't ruffle any feathers they can never be fired, regardless of how much the fans hate them. Even when they retire they usually keep getting huge salaries for doing nothing. Ex-MLB commissioner Bud Selig still gets $6 mill a year and the made up title of "Commissioner Emeritus" (whatever the heck that is) to do nothing. I really do wish pro sports had 5 or 10 year term-limits to keep these commissioners in check.

Why in the world would you draft a kicker in the 2nd round? That's something Al Davis would do! I say no, the dude's a rookie but as a Cowboys fan, I hope the game comes down to a long attempt by that kid because I really like our chances if that's the case.

I will say this, if Brady gets a win in Denver this coming Sunday he will be the league MVP.

Man I want him to win this years superbowl so bad, more than any other just to stick at goodell's face. The image of him giving brady the Lombardy trophy will be memorable.
