I believe he failed another test. Which is unfortunate because you would think he would have learned his lesson from last time.

I thought I read recently that he failed a drug test again that triggered another suspension. Problem is that if we as football fans can't keep up with the number of suspensions a player has when we have nothing better to do (i.e. not focus/concentrate on football), then it's probably time for a guy to be gone from the league.

Rumor has it this suspension is for missing a drug test while he was in rehab. A missed drug test is automatically assumed to be a positive drug test by the NFL, but that's still ridiculous if true. The NFL screwed Dallas by telling them Gregory could play the last two games then expediting this process right before the playoffs started. Not to mention Dallas cut a player (who was claimed by another team) to make room for Gregory. I don't see them expediting a suspension for Michael Floyd right before the playoffs. Guess it just depends on which team you play for.

I have issues with the timing of things. With Aldon, Goodell couldve told us his decision in November. Maybe we wouldve made a roster change to cope with it. All we heard was that "any day now" the league would rule on it. He waits until two days before our Week 17 game. Thanks a lot. Don't expect any transparency next year when it comes to getting Gregory back. These guys are idiots but if they serve their penalty let them go.

What's the point ? Gregory was suspended already and missed a test while in suspension ? Floyd was not in suspension when he got caught drunk. You can't compare, different cases.

Commit real crimes like beating the crap out of your spouse, rape women, etc get 4 games. Be a bipolar with depression who smokes weed and get over a year.

Gregory is a dummy and was already busted, but he couldn't stop. His suspension was all too easy to levy.
These guys that break laws and are awaiting their day in court basically tie the NFL's hands. What if the charges are dropped on a technicality and the NFL has suspended the person? That person could easily sue the money making league and probably win.
So to summarize:

Busted on pee tests = NFL has maximum leverage
Busted and awaiting trial = NFL has minimum leverage
Domestic violence is kind of gray area because if the victim drops the charges, that's all there is to it. But the NFL will then act as it sees fit depending on how bad the smell test went.
Unfortunately you can't throw all these issues under one blanket policy. Which is why the NFL handles it on a "case by case" basis.

Gregory needs to manage his bipolar depression better and should've stopped smoking weed after he got busted but he didn't. I just don't like how the NFL handles most suspensions, it reeks of favoritism towards certain teams that are close to Goodell. Hopefully Jerry and others will look into this issue after the Super Bowl.

Many people manage mental health issues without resorting to a substance that is not only banned by your employer but still illegal in various parts of the country.
Sorry I don't buy into the medicinal weed excuse.
Maybe it's just me but if I had a job that paid me millions of dollars a year and all I had to do was NOT smoke weed for a decade, or however long I played...yeah I would do just that! I don't even know if I would even drink alcohol!
Jerruh can look into it all he wants, but what's done is done! The NFL has never wavered on drug tests. If something is found that's not supposed to be in there, you will face consequences.
I could be wrong, but isn't the first failed test not made public? It's the second test that nets you 4 games and the 2nd test is 10 games, then a year long ban?
So that would be, at the minimum 4 failed/missed(same as failed) tests. Even if I'm wrong, for Gregory it's 3 failed tests. Clearly the guy can't lay off the stuff.
It's a shame, but he's not the first and he won't be the last! NFL is way too elite, there are a bunch of guys that didn't make the initial cut who will go all out to earn a roster spot.
That just the modern day NFL.

I guess I feel if they're going to be suspending guys before the playoffs then he should get his punishment now too. His DUI may end up rewarding him with a Super Bowl ring...that's messed up.

I'd love it if it played out like that, but I don't see it happening. I would love it if the Chiefs got Oakland, rather than the more likely matchup against the Steelers. And then if Miami could go on to beat NE, that would be the cherry on top.
