I thought you has said they shipped it. Did the post office screw it up or NFL shop? In any case I'd be hesitant to buy a Super Bowl jersey until my team wins. Just seems like bad luck buying early.

It's just a Matt Ryan jersey with the LI patch. Win or lose, he played there.

And it was shipped. But 4 days later, this is the status of my "Priority Overnight" shipment...

That's just today's NFL for the foreseeable future: needing an elite QB just to get a seat at the table. Sure you can skirt that, for a few years, by hitting the jackpot in the draft and hiding under a rookie contract for a few years, but that's about it.
Teams literally have no choice but to pay up, or else their chances decrease dramatically.

Casino magnate Sheldon Adelson has withdrawn his financial backing from the Raiders' proposed stadium deal in Las Vegas.
Adelson appears to be upset after the Raiders submitted a proposed lease agreement to the Las Vegas Stadium Authority last week without his knowledge. Adelson said he is "deeply disappointed for the disregard the Raiders showed our community partners, particularly UNLV, through the proposed agreement" and his family "will no longer be involved in any facet of the stadium discussion." The NFL was never likely to be at ease with Adelson's involvement in the deal, and he reportedly wanted a piece of the franchise in return for helping finance the stadium. With Adelson always looking like a stumbling block, the Raiders proactively made arrangements to move forward with financing from Goldman Sachs if Adelson dropped out. If anything, this development was necessary to pave the way for the relocation to gain approval.

Wow, talk about picking your poison. I'm not sure which is scummier - Adelson (disgusting even by casino magnate standards) or Goldman Sachs. Adelson is the guy who injected millions of his own dollars to try to keep people in my state in chronic pain in 2014 and 2016.

True. Flacco kind of turned one great postseason into a massive contract. Up until that Super Bowl run he was slightly above average and ever since he's been slightly above average. He'd a guy with a mediocre low 80's career QB rating. The contract he signed just hasn't worked out well for Baltimore.

I can't really blame the guy, I would do the same thing.
There were also a few other factors, like losing two HoFers in Lewis & Reed, then the Ray Rice debacle. In any event, it should be interesting to see what Washington does with Cousins.

Who knows what will transpire on Sunday, but from a lost playbook, to an agent and player complaining about contracts and talking themselves up, to an offensive coordinator courting another team before the biggest game of his life, Atlanta definitely looks like a team which hasn't been here before.
