Can't think of a good reason why a punter would retire early. Must of lost the passion for football.

Yeah, it's not like punters take 20+ hard hits every game like most positions. He probably could have played another 8+ seasons if he wanted. He was due to make about $3 mill each of the next two years. I'm not sure why he'd just up and retire under 30. His bio does say he does stand-up comedy work. Maybe he just wants to try that or some other venture full time.

McAfee has had 3 knee surgeries in the last 4 years and apparently was ready to retire after the 2015 season but was talked into returning by Chuck Pagano. Now that he's financially set he's ready to do something else, and he's joining Barstool Sports, who agreed to open an office in Indianapolis because McAfee wasn't willing to move.
