As others have said think the most the Cowboys could get for Romo is a second rounder but every team with a QB need will probably wait to see if he gets an outright released.

As a longtime Niners fan, fans loved him when he was here despite his antics but once he was someone else's headache it was a bittersweet F that guy now. But I absolutely think he deserves to be in the HOF. He was just a jackass, never in trouble with the law.

I loved the 30 for 30 on the XFL. But like others have said there will never be another challenger to the league. Another NFL Europe style D League would be a good idea though.

Really sounds like Mahomes is rapidly moving up draft boards. He will need some development, but his ceiling is very high. He drops dimes all over the field.

According to the Buffalo News, the idea of starting Cardale Jones at quarterback is "appealing" to GM Doug Whaley.
The fourth-round pick out of Ohio State attempted just 11 passes as a rookie. Jones is a major project, but with Buffalo on the fence about Tyrod Taylor, Jones is an alternative they may have to consider. Taking a quarterback 10th overall would probably be a reach, while the free agent market is even more sparse. In the end, the Bills may decide that Taylor is their best option.

Since there are a lot of Pats fans, and I live in New England, I always found this interesting.

" During the 1990 season, the Patriots went 1–15. They changed ownership three times in the ensuing 14 years, being purchased from the Sullivan family first by Victor Kiam in 1988, who sold the team to James Orthwein in 1992. Orthwein intended to move the team to his native St. Louis, Missouri (where it would have been renamed as the St. Louis Stallions), but instead sold the team in 1994 to its current owner Robert Kraft."

Imagine if that happened? Would the Rams have still moved somewhere, or stayed in L.A.? Would Boston have got another NFL team by now? So many things could have happened, or not happened because of this one sale that didn't happen. Pats fans have every right to be proud of their franchise. I wonder if many know how lucky they are that it's even still in New England?

Romo destroyed pretty much every single QB statistic in franchise history, except Aikman's 90's winning percentage.

According to ESPN Redskins reporter John Keim, there's a "good chance" free agent Kirk Cousins will command a pricier contract than Andrew Luck.
Luck signed the largest contract in NFL history last offseason, landing $140 million over six years with $87 million guaranteed. Cousins has a real chance to top that if he and the Redskins reach a long-term deal. With salary caps on the rise, Derek Carr, Matt Ryan, and Matthew Stafford are all looking at enormous forthcoming pay days. It's a good time to be an NFL franchise quarterback.

Yeah I've seen that and I agree, part of it is though Super Bowl Championships are not a good barometer for QB quality. We've seen some of the worst win one and some of the best not even sniff one. Great QBs can carry a team on their back into the post-season and even win a play-off game or two but it's almost impossible for them to will their team to a championship without a good enough supporting cast. Aikman and Staubach were both on some of the most talented rosters in NFL history.

Yeah but in general most QB records have fallen over the last decade I mean it's a Quarterbacks league.

You could also add the fact that both Troy and Roger have said Romo has the talent to do things they could never dream of. How much of that is true and how much of it is lip service, who knows.

I have a feeling if Romo was on the teams Aikman had, nobody would be hating on him.

The salary cap era changed everything for the Cowboys. Can't really buy championships anymore.

Pretty much. I suspect if Romo were QB'ing those 90's Cowboys teams he would have won around 3 rings too. Personally I think Aikman is one of the most overrated QB's of all-time and probably wouldn't have sniffed the HOF if he were on average teams rather than behind a block wall O-line with great receivers and a great RB all those years.

Trade Romo and some picks for Myles Garrett or JJ Watt.
