Wonder if this could cause Jerry Jones to reconsider letting Romo just walk and go where he wants. He could sign with division rival Washington if Cousins goes elsewhere.

Snyder isn't the GM. The Redskins actually have a very good GM as of a couple years ago.

Cousins won't carry them anywhere. Wouldn't be a bad thing if he left. I mean, yes, they'd get worse. But at least they can start looking for a true franchise QB.

Idk why... but I have ZERO faith in Cousins. None whatsoever. Even when the dude is on fire I always view him as a Jay Cutler type.

I think Jones and Romo will make a handshake agreement that Romo won't go to an NFC East team if he's released. They have a really good relationship and I don't think Romo would have any objection to that agreement. He wouldn't want to impact his legacy in Dallas by playing for one of their biggest rivals and having to face the Cowboys twice a year.

They have Scot McCloughan who has a pretty good eye for talent, personal problems aside. What baffles me is why Washington(Snyder/Allen) don't want him speaking to the media?
Since I live in the area, I listen to Redskins Radio and Chris Cooley is really pressing the "is he drinking again" angle. This, coupled with the total head scratcher regarding Cousins, makes me wonder if this front office(Snyder/Allen) really have a plan B.
Cousins may not be elite, but he's arguably one of the best QBs to play for Washington in a long time. It's not Cousins' fault if the Defense can't stop Stafford with a minute to play(after Cousins ran in the go ahead TD), or miss the field goal attempt in OT to NOT settle for a tie against Cincy.
Turn that loss and tie into wins and Washington most likely makes the playoffs, and maybe we hear an entirely different narrative right now?

There's clearly far more to this Revis story than meets the eye, but regardless, I really hope the NYJ use it as a reason to recoup a chunk of money and move on from him once and for all.

They won't. Best can happen is that they cut him and have 7 million towards the cap.
