This is why I'm loving Dallas being dumb with Romo, and holding on to him. Philly might get a little more out of a Daniel trade while Dallas waits.
I'm hoping Cleveland is asking as they are loaded with picks!

Daniel is not now and will never be in the same class of QB as Tony Romo.

Your post kinda suggested a comparison. For a borderline back-up at best, I doubt the Eagles would get more than a conditional late pick, almost no way they'd get anything of substance for him.

Not at all. I'm saying Romo is the top FA QB, but he's not a FA because Dallas foolishly thinks they can get something for him. The longer Jerruh waits the more he's twisting the knife in Romo's back. So much for "Do Right".
So the longer Jerruh waits it leaves more QB needy teams in play that might give up waiting on Dallas and set their sights elsewhere.
And let's face it, how many games has Romo played in the last two years?
I like the guy, but he could be a bust.

He is one of the most physically gifted QBs in the NFL but his body probably can't handle the stress of playing anymore. Why a guy who would normally fetch at least a 1st round pick even at 37 hasn't been moved yet. I hope for the best for Tony but Jerry needs to actually do the right thing and help his friend out.

Physically gifted? In your opinion, sure. Mike Vick was physically gifted!
Tony Romo, while I believe he's a good QB, has always been surrounded with very good talent.
No way he would get a first rounder!
Your fan goggles are on just a little too tight.

My thoughts:

Cleveland gets #1 right. #12, I just don't see the need for a QB here. I just don't see it. Grab a QB in the later rounds if you want, but I think we stay with Kessler. He's already got better protection this year from free agency. My pick here would go to a WR or defense.

I don't know if McCaffrey would be the best option for Philly. I can see a WR here being more feasible.

NY Giants should go after Dalvin Cook, and that would complete their offense. Eli Manning with talented RB Cook and a trip of WRs (Odoofus, Marshall, and Shepard).

Washington: You may want to start looking at QB's........

Detroit, I hate the "best player approach", but I think you need to do this for defense only.

While Philly will need a RB once they release Ryan Matthews, my guess is they go CB here. Of course it all depends on how the previous 13 teams picked.
In fact they might draft 2-3 CBs in this deep CB draft.

Nobody, just don't think the Jets have the right offense for a rookie QB. I could be mistaken of course.

Agreed, their WR corps is young with Robby Anderson, Jain Marshall and to a lesser extent Enunwa, but they also have Decker, Forte and Powell there as vets. Not saying I want or don't want Watson, but if he's drafted there, he can experience some growing pains with the young bucks and learn from the vets.

With a rookie RB in the backfield and coming in as a rookie himself, generally speaking, couldn't the same had been said for your boy Zak?

Definitely a good prospect, he would be my choice if I went QB in the first round.

I agree that the Giants should go after Cook if he's available. I don't think he will still be available when they pick, but they need to upgrade their run game because their current running back corp is among the worst in the NFL (and Shane Vereen could potentially get cut today as he's due a $500,000 roster bonus if he's on the roster at 5:00 ET). Having great receivers is nice but if you don't have a running threat teams will just put 6-7 guys in coverage every play.
