My sentiments exactly. I personally would have rather had Geno back, but am more than happy to jettison (pun intended)/cut ties with any of the underperforming vets from the previous regime. Time to start (somewhat) fresh.

Cutler always just looks checked out. Win or lose, at least look like you give a damn.

Precisely. A bit more than I wanted them to pay and he'll win a few games here and there, but hopefully not enough to miss out on one of the top picks in the 2018 draft.

Has no lasting impact on the roster for future seasons, which is why I'm also good with the Claiborne contract. Plus, if for whatever reason he studs out and signs next year elsewhere for a big contract, we will get a compensatory pick.

Yep, totally. I just wish they weren't on the hook for paying that extra $6M to Revis the jackwagon.

All this being said, I wouldn't mind if they drafted a player in the draft at one of the skill positions that I can get excited about. As it stands, with the roster looking the way it does, I'm not sure how much I'll be tuning into this team come the fall. The good thing is that I won't have to worry about staying up too late to watch the end of any TNF, SNF or MNF games.
