It is a strange design decision given the general climate of that area. I could see this design being popular in the colder regions of the country where having such a large transparent roof could have a "green house" effect and retain heat from the sunlight, which would ease the burden of keeping such a huge building climate controlled. Still, it's a unique, distinct design that no one else has.

I thought it was supposed to be but when the funding was crumbled that feature was removed.

The Las Vegas stadium design has always had a fixed roof. They just took the stadium design the Raiders and Chargers wanted to build in Carson and modified it a little, with one of the modifications a fixed roof.

Nav would definitely be against this move since he was a local. I still don't like it but I understand it.

We've been playing in that dump for so long. I think Carr and his offense will be amazing in a dome. Janikowski might last a few more years in it too if he's still around

Vegas will definitely be an attraction for visiting fans. Make a whole vacation of it when your team is playing @ Raiders.

A Vegas Super Bowl would be crazy. Im guessing "we" automatically host one at some point after the stadium is built. Seems to be the reward

But that’s only part of the equation when it comes to solving the franchise’s long-standing woes in the ground game. There continues to be an expectation the Lions will add a running back this offseason to round out its rotation, currently led by Ameer Abdullah and Theo Riddick.

Could Peterson, the seven-time Pro Bowler who has spent his entire career with the Minnesota Vikings, be the solution? Quinn certainly didn’t close the door.

“I think AP still has plenty left in the tank,” Quinn said. “We’ll see how it goes.”

Oh you can bet there will be a "Raiders Experience" package with game tickets, restaurant dining, shopping, and of course gambling.

I can just see it now. Halftime shows will be made up of promotions from all the local Hotels, promoting their entertainment attractions like Cirque Du Soleil and The Raiderettes will be donned in black and silver sequins and feathers like showgirls.

LVR really could just be LV since theres no other LV teams unlike LA or NY.
