Ok supposedly at cbs romo would get the #1 gig with nance.
That means cbs game of the week & super bowl every 3 yrs.
Simms would be either fired or demoted to #2.

At fox romo would only get to be on #2 team.

That makes the decision harder.

If Romo decides to retire and go into broadcasting (which I don't think happens) I'd have to think he'd talk to Aikman and find out his plans. If Aikman says he plans on staying another ten years then I think Romo would take the CBS offer. If Aikman says he'll likely retire in a couple years it might be worth waiting, but I'd still probably take the #1 job at CBS if the opportunity is there.

One question that few people are asking is does Romo want to go straight into broadcasting full-time when he retires? It seems like everyone just assumes he'd want to become a commentator. He's got 2 young kids and another on the way and being a game commentator takes a lot of time. You have to get to the game site on Thursday or Friday and won't get home until late Sunday night. Romo probably has his pick of jobs and if he joined a pregame show he'd only need to be gone Saturday and Sunday.
