Philadelphia Seattle Buffalo Up next, expecting to go at least 2-1 over that stretch, putting us at 5-4 or 6-3, not bad after starting the season 2-3. |

Showing what a difference a QB makes in a rematch of the Super Bowl 2 years ago. Curtis Painter isn't even Peyton Manning's milkboy and he's proving it in this game against an opportunistic but otherwise mediocre defense.

![]() I'm pretty sure I heard Palmer make a comment after the game saying that he knew 10% of the playbook or something like that. He shouldn't have even been out there today, but I don't blame them after having to watch Boller play. They didn't really have a choice. Quote:

You would be wrong on that one. Any team without a franchise QB would gladly trade more than 2 1st round picks to get one. I'm not saying that Palmer was or wasn't worth what the Raiders gave up, because that remains to be seen.

Rodgers, Brees, Roethlisberger, E. Manning, P. Manning, Roethlisberger, Brady, Brady, Brad Johnson, Brady, Dilfer, Warner, Elway, Elway, Favre I could go back further, but you get the point. Nearly every single one of them is a Hall of Fame QB and only Dilfer was a sub-Pro Bowl caliber QB. Aaron Rodgers is worth 4 first round picks easy. Franchise QB's are by far the most valuable commodity in the NFL. You almost have to have one to win a title nowadays in such a passer-oriented game. I'd even argue that in some rare cases a college QB is worth 3+ 1st rounders. Andrew Luck is one of them. |

He had a so-so career, but the year the Bucs won the Super Bowl he threw 22 TD/6 Int for over 3,000 yards. Ya, the defense won the Bucs that Super Bowl, but Johnson was far better than Dilfer. Dilfer had 12 TD/11 Int the year Baltimore won the Super Bowl.
