Seems like people just assume the Dolphins have more championships than they really do because they had really good teams for so long with Shula. They did make it to 7 Conference Title games and 5 Super Bowls under Shula but they only managed to win those two in 1972-73. My guess is if you asked most casual NFL fans they'd wrongly guess the Dolphins won like 4 or 5 Super Bowls.

I thought it was 1, the 1972 team, shows what I know. Still better than the Jets fan that thought they had won 5+.

An argument could be made that the 1973 Dolphins team was better than the undefeated 1972 team. Despite losing 2 games in 1973 they were a little more seasoned the the prior year's team and they were far more dominant in the playoffs in 1973, winning by 18, 17 and 17 points. The 1972 Dolphins played the weakest schedule in NFL history while the 1973 team played a much more challenging schedule.

In Cowboys news:

LB Damien Wilson was arrested last night and charged with 2 counts of aggrevated assault with a deadly weapon. There aren't a lot of details yet about the incident, but it reportedly occurred outside of Toyota Stadium where FC Dallas had a game followed by fireworks.

Guessing if the Cowboys don't release Wilson he's going to end on the Reserve/Commissioner's Exempt List if the charges aren't dropped by the start of camp:
