What a scum bag he is. What goes around, comes around...karma's a b*tch, he'll eventually get his.

If anything, I feel for the families of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown that they have to have this whole thing dredged up again with the added trauma of knowing that he's walking the streets again. Not to mention that he will stand to gain a good bit of income from his various pensions paying out from the NFL and the SAG.

Shouldn't Goldman be able to garnish some of that after winning the civil suit?

From what I read (admittedly VERY quickly), pensions are exempt from lawsuit monies. And, if he moves to Florida where the laws are different, he has further protection.

O.J. is a cold blooded murderer but that Vegas robbery sentence was laughable. The guy with the gun in the robbery got probation as did nearly everyone else involved. Simpson wouldn't have gotten anything more than maybe 6 months in jail if he were anyone else. That 9-33 year sentence was a joke. He was clearly being punished for past misdeeds which was wrong for the rule of law.

Just about all of O.J.'s income is his NFL pension which is shielded from lawsuits. I believe the only money the Goldman's have ever received from O.J. were the proceeds from his book "If I Did It" where Simpson basically admitted he carried out the murders and I think they got a little cash from auctioning off some of his memorabilia/trophies. I would think O.J. probably has trusts set up for his kids so when he dies any inheritance will be passed to his kids, preventing the Goldman family from collecting.

Florida is the best of all worlds for pensions. Not only is the pension shielded from lawsuits, it also isn't taxed at the state level.

Supposedly he won't actually be released for about 3 months. It would be poetic justice if O.J. kicked the bucket just before getting released. He's 70 and took a ton of brutal hits in his playing career. I'm surprised he appears to be in as good of shape as he he appears to be.

Texas has similar laws as well & no state taxes on federal pensions either.
