I don't know Haden might not be worth 14 million but surely he can get more than 4 million a year on the open market.

Depending on how much he makes on his new team, Cleveland might not have to pay him that much.
Dallas might be the only team with a worse secondary than Philly. Still have to see how many games Carroll gets.

Challenge accepted. The Miami Dolphins have Reshad Jones but not much after that. Byron Maxwell isn't looking so good. I'd give Joe Haden a shot!

I can't believe he's getting that much money after such an awful year in 2016 and a poor preseason. They must believe a change of scenery will make a big difference.

Haha! I was hopeful Maxwell would pan out for the Eagles. That is how bad the Philly CB situation has been for about a decade now: having to overpay for him.
I'm walking on eggshells hoping Sidney Jones can get back to 100%. That could be huge next season for a group that will all be 24 or younger.
Maxwell did show some flashes last season, but looked pretty rough in
Sat weeks preseason game.

What are your thoughts on Darby? With us, his inconsistency drove me crazy. If he can pull it all together he has the talent to be a very solid starting man CB.

The CB situation is just so bad, and has been so bad for a long time. I keep hoping that one of these guys they keep plugging actually works out. With the NFC East so WR heavy we are going to see all the secondaries get tested!
I like what I've seen of Darby so far, but it's only been practice and preseason. I'm hopeful he can be average to above average. That's how desperate the situation is! Anything more than that would be icing on the cake!

Eagles corners aren't that bad anymore, a couple years ago they were on every halftime highlight clip giving up 80 yard TD's.

Byron Maxwell is one of the most toastable corners in the NFL, shame he's no longer in the NFC East.

Clearly he's a number 2 CB not his fault people keep paying him like a number 1.

Brandon Carr is also a 1B corner and was never worth the contract we paid him but he was still far more consistent than Maxwell.

Agreed, they definitely overpaid based on recent production (or lack thereof) and injuries.

I never thought I'd say this, but it's been so bad at CB I actually miss Asante Samuel.

You're right. Unfortunately the situation was so bad, they had to throw money at somebody. Just glad we were able to ship that contract off a year later.
