Interesting story on Pro Football Talk about how every quarterback in the class of 2007 might end up as a bust. The 10 quarterbacks taken were:
JaMarcus Russell-Maybe the biggest bust of all time
Brady Quinn-Bust
Kevin Kolb-Got a big money deal after the Cardinals traded for him but has been horrible so far. Too soon to call him a bust but he hasn't shown much yet.
John Beck-Bust for Miami who drafted him, too early to say what he'll do for Washington
Drew Stanton-Bust
Trent Edwards-Had some decent games but overall a bust
Jeff Rowe-Who?
Troy Smith-Bust
Jordan Palmer-Bust
Tyler Thigpen-Bust

Of all those QBs only Stanton is still with the team that drafted him.

It's not like 2005 had a much better class, Aaron Rodgers aside, not at all convinced #1 overall pick Alex Smith has turned it around and suddenly become a reliable QB.

lol 2006 was bad too although it had players that did decent, in-terms of the star power from college, that you'd think would be good it was awful.

The Hennepin County Attorney's Office has filed a felony domestic assault strangulation charge against Vikings CB Chris Cook.
According to the original complaint, Cook twice strangled his girlfriend and struck her in the ear. Authorities had until today to file a charge or release Cook, and he ended up getting the more serious of the two possible charges. The Viking shouldn't count on having Cook available for this week's game against the Panthers.

2005 QBs have had plenty of success. In addition to Rodgers and Smith there was Jason Campbell, Kyle Orton, Derek Anderson, Matt Cassel, and Ryan Fitzpatrick. Campbell has never been a star but he's started for much of his career and should be the best free agent QB after this season. Kyle Orton is 32-30 as a starter. Derek Anderson had 1 good season when he made the Pro Bowl. Matt Cassel is another Pro Bowl player and is 45-24 as a starter. Fitzpatrick has looked very good this season and is likely going to get a fairly big contract extension.

The last two guys are good, the rest are bums, I guess Campbell is serviceable, says a lot when the options you have behind him all seem to be a major step down. Orton is done in Denver, his 10 win rookie season must've been a mirage, Anderson had 1 good year and other than that has done nothing. Rodgers is the best QB in the league, Smith has done NOTHING in 7 seasons to justify being taken with the #1 overall pick out of Utah.

In all fairness, Kolb hasn't really been given a good shot at winning. He was good for the Eagles until he got hurt. (like what 1-2 games in?) and then going to a VERY depleted AZ team that is a shadow of that super bowl team with Warner. I mean all he has is Fitzgerald. Boldin left, Breaston left, and the defense was dismantled right when Warner retired.

Give AZ 2-3 good drafts with bad records and they may go somewhere.

EDIT: @wolvie: Brady is the best QB in football. Stop saying it's Rodgers. He has had 2 good seasons on a team built to make him look spectacular. That's how it was built around Favre. Brady has 3 rings and is CONSISTENTLY at the top of all passing categories, regardless of who is around him.

I mean your right from a long-term look, but right now (and the throws you see Rodgers making), it looks like he'll take that reign after Brady is gone.

Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has announced that his wife, the former Candice Crawford, is pregnant.

Romo appeared at Cedar Hill High School Tuesday morning to speak to students. He and his wife were married earlier this summer.

A video posted on MyFOXDFW.com shows Romo answering a question from the students about having any children.

"I actually got one on the way," Romo replied. "My wife's pregnant."

I just think that he is a product of environment. He has a team that really likes to throw a lot, and a dynamite WR corps. Jennings, Nelson, Jones, Driver, Finley just to start. I mean even Matt Flynn "looked" good when he go the start.

Whereas Brady has been "plug and play" his whole career. Regardless of who's running deep he will destroy defenses in the air. I think when both are retired they Brady (and most likely) Rodgers will be HoF'ers, but I think Brady will have more wins, more rings, and more records.

There's no truth to the rumor the Dolphins will honor former Gator Rex Grossman when Miami hosts Washington Nov. 10.

i def. see rodgers winning another SB @ some point in his career though.

and he's been very consitent since the 2009 season.

Overall Brady is the better qb as hes done so much with so little at times, but "right now", the way hes playing, no one comes close to Aaron Rodgers

a good GM will do that though, build your team around your QB's strengths.

if he's an accurate thrower, give him a deep threat.

and as far as flynn, mccarthy played to his strengths in that patriots game last season, that's your coachings staffs job as well.

u gotta give rodgers some props for what he did last season though, having basically no running game what-so-ever to support him.

even w/that pressure, he was still able to make plays.

Sorry, let me clarify, when i said "right now", I meant last year as well, currently the best qb in the game is Aaron Rodgers, imo...
