No matter what Denver is first with the best division record, but I would think Oakland is 2nd based on "strength of victory"(point differential?).

With the AFCW looking very strong early on in the season, hopefully the AFC playoff race will be more competitive this year. On a related topic, the NYJ can take advantage of Black Friday sales on big screen TVs so they can watch the playoffs from the comfort of their own homes.

Sounds like Timmons is having some sort of personal issues. He was missing during a team hotel room check and the Dolphins reported him missing to police. Sunday morning he was found at LAX trying to catch a flight because he "missed his baby and wanted to see her." I hope it isn't some sort of early onset CTE. Apparently he's meeting with doctors today to ensure he's all there physically and mentally. This is a guy who played in around 100 straight games so it's out of character.

I feel bad for the Chargers rookie kicker. Makes the field goal in game 1 but a time out is called and on the second attempt it gets blocked (not his fault, but still has to be defeating). Then he flat out misses the game-winner in game 2.

Also, it may or may not have been a coincidence, but former Chargers kicker Nick Novak tweeted out his placekicking video after the Chargers lost.

I said the same to a friend yesterday. Last week is an example of why the icing the kicker timeout is so lame.

I don't know how competetive the race will be. You can count out a wild card team from the AFC south. I am hoping the Dolphins can keep in the race. It will likely be Miami, Baltimore, and 2 of the west teams fighting for 2 spots (and I am really not sold on Baltimore at all)
