That ring is haunting him. If he has a legitimate chance he would come back.

I’m sure it is, but now that he’s seen the game from a different perspective, AND making good coin, I don’t see it happening. But it would be interesting.

Free-agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick has filed a grievance against the NFL alleging collusion in relation to his ongoing unemployment. Eventually, we’ll explain what he needs to prove, and what he doesn’t need to prove, in order to show that collusion occurred. For now, let’s focus on what he wants to do.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Kaepernick wants to trigger termination of the current Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Article 69, Section 2 of the CBA allows for the agreement to be terminated prematurely in the event of proof of collusion. Under Article 17, Section 16(c) of the CBA, termination can arise from only one incident of collusion involving only one player if there is clear and convincing evidence of a violation.

The ramifications would be enormous, and historical. Kaepernick could give all players a tremendous piece of leverage, moving up the expiration of the contract by more than three years and forcing the owners back to the bargaining table.

Haha wow Kap taking it to owners. Crazy.

McManus has become one of the worst kickers in the NFL! Kaepernick sticking it to the owners won't get him a job either, if anything it'll just make it harder for him to return to the NFL.

Looking for 7 TD’s, in any combination, from Denver’s D/ST. Need them points as I’m sure DeMarco Murray will crap the bed tomorrow night. Worst draft pick of my life!

It might not but it would stop things like the suspensions to Brady and Elliot.

Put a fork in them.
Lost to the pitiful Chargers and Eagles last year and still turned out alright.

I mean totally BS suspension. I mean 4 games for brady and 2 for ray rice none of that made sense and was ridiculous.

It’s pretty clever of Kap. He may never play in the NFL again but he would change the entire landscape.

Kaep, can have fun just digging the hole deeper. I guess he’s got nothing to lose, since he was never going to play in the league again.

Who knows if he accomplishes this he might just join the players association and be a pain in the ass of the NFL for the next 50 years.

I seriously doubt that happens. He’s just playing his final card and hoping he hits it on the flop.

What a waste of time and money. If his real issue is his cause then why not spend the time and money on that? He showed that once teams got tape on him he wasn't as good as he thought he was. He is not worth the headache he would cause as a back up, and not good enough to be long term starter. Teams want their QBs to place holders or franchise guys. He doesn't fit that.

Doesn’t matter he has a good following and it would stop football until they negotiate a new contract and a lot of players don’t want Goodell to have as much power.

Plus he wears pig socks and doesn’t vote.

I sum up my thoughts on Colin Kaepernick by using a quote from the “good book”:

And this too shall pass.

Triggering the end of the CBA would probably just make a lot of players turn on him.

The owners need the NFL paycheck far less than the players do, and if the players are forced to strike 3 years early a lot of them will not be happy.

I don't see how this would add any leverage whatsoever to the players. It's the same now or in 3 years, as long as the rank and file players need paychecks, and they do, the players have no leverage.
