Jourdan Lewis is good, Carroll is gone, hopefully Brown will be better after the break. A better push up the middle would make everyone's jobs easier, including the linebackers and the secondary.

Even with all the equipment, it's such a violent sport, there's the unnatural movements of the arms, legs and feet as well.

The owners botched this whole protest thing up by being so inconsistent. Should have let the teams stay in the locker room during the Anthem, where players can stand on their head in protest, to their hearts desire...all with no TV cameras and no media!
Then have someone come up with a patch, the players can wear on their uniforms that will bring awareness each and every game.
Look I know social injustice is a real thing, and would love to see it go away. But I’m a fan of the game of football. I pay to see games, not politics. It’s not the NFL’s job to fight social injustice. It’s their job to play football games.
This whole protest issue is so warped with so many cooks in the kitchen, that I don’t know who is protesting what on any given Sunday.
I'm not sure that would work because they would mention the patch every game players would point to it during celebrations. The NFL should have done something last year instead of stay in locker room or stand or you don't play. Why doesn't the NFL sponsor a program with police and all 32 teams where players meet with them discuss issues and have police meet with people in the their community and let's start building better relationships. It may not be perfect but seems better than stand or you don't play.

Why can’t they just do that now? There’s nothing stopping players becoming leaders in their respective markets and meeting with others. If they truly think social injustice is real (its not, but the media wants you to think it is) then start there.

That's fine I would love that now. Im just was saying they should have started already. Film it and show it at each stadium, have it on before Monday night football etc....

I just used the idea of a patch off the top of my head. I’m all for players bringing awareness, just not during games. Clearly I’m not the only one that feels this way.
There comes a point when everyone involved has to ask themselves are we still sending the right message. Are some guys “protesting” just to protest. Once the cameras shut down the protest ends? It’s safe to say that the whole issue has blurred considerably.
The players have the entire off season to protest 24/7. Not during working hours please, it’s not what the customers paid for.

The guy that runs my survivor pool couldn’t do it this year. I’m pretty sure I would’ve been eliminated by now. Season has not been very predictable, to say the least.

Some players already do that. Problem is typically with police unions preventing dialogue and covering for crooked cops. Police unions are among the powerful unions in America, effectively operating above the law in many cases.

Blame your President on that. The protests were effectively over until he decided to make it a political wedge issue a few weeks ago.
