That is a very bold statement, a leap of faith perhaps.

The only dependable aspect is Romo's ability to be completely unpredictable.

Tell me what you see in dallas' off. that I have not.

It's one thing to say Dallas will win, but if you are gonna say by 17 you should have some substance to base that on.

Please shed some light on that cause I love to see how other people percieve things.

Goes w/o saying as a Giants fan I think we all know I want Dallas to lose.

The Seahawk's Tavaris Jackson got hurt and Whitehurst was literally Booed off of the field last Sunday (he's that bad). They lost at home by 22 to Cincy...They STINK. There is a possibility your Giants will be 5-6 OR 6-5 in a month (tough sched.) and the Cowboys know this. Plus they'll be in a nasty mood from the debacle in Philly. I think they'll come out flyin' and won't have any problem beating Seattle by 17.

Jaguars placed WR Mike Sims-Walker (knee) on injured reserve, ending his season.
Sims-Walker was serving as Jacksonville's third receiver before the latest setback with his knee. The knee has been an issue since Sims-Walker's college days at USC, where he played opposite Brandon Marshall. Exposed as a middle-of-the-road talent over the past two seasons, Sims-Walker's NFL future is cloudy. He'll be a free agent in 2012, and won't be a great bet to make a roster.

It was a blown call in realtime, not by lack of replay ability or making the wrong call after replay.

The official who called TD clearly had no vision on whether it was a TD or not and had no business giving the TD signal, especially with the ball rolling around on the field.

Had he not called a TD he didn't actually see, they would have determined who actually recovered the ball.

I agree that things all fell in line with the NFL rulebook.

NFL Network's Sterling Sharpe is the latest game-tape watcher to attribute Chris Johnson's struggles to the running back, rather than the Titans' rushing offense as a whole.
Sharpe works for NFLN's Playbook, which breaks down each game each week. "They're giving him opportunities," said Sharpe. "The Chris Johnson that we’re used to seeing, I don’t know why we’re not seeing him. ... Usually, when he got one on one, he could make a guy miss and it was going to be electric. Now he’s just curling up in a ball and looking for the softest spot on the field to lay down."

Bad calls happen in every game. Most people only make a big deal out of them when they happen in favor of the Steelers or Patriots, because both teams win a lot. They also make a lot of other teams look terrible or knock them out of the post-season. Anyway...

Sure, they could have flagged Polamalu on the field, but in real-time, it just as easily looks like he knocked the ball forward in an attempt to grab it. The Patriots were not going to win that game, either way. Make whatever argument you want concerning a last ditch hail mary pass, but you know as well as I do - game was over.

I've read alternating reports concerning Harrison and Woodley. Maybe Woodley will play, maybe he won't. Either way, it's in Pittsburgh, the Steelers will be playing not only angry (wanting revenge for week1), but confident. If Baltimore makes any of the same 1st half mistakes they've made the past two weeks, I think Pittsburgh will make them pay for it - unlike Arizona. I pick the Steelers to win, with or without Woodley, in a close game at home.

Huge Blow to the Giants

Quote:
Ahmad Bradshaw has a cracked bone in his foot and is out indefinitely, a source tells the Newark Star-Ledger.
It was originally believed that Bradshaw suffered no structural damage, but that was an incorrect diagnosis. Two Giants beat reporters plus ESPN's Adam Schefter now say Bradshaw will be out "at least several weeks" and surgery is being considered. It's an aggravation of the same stress fractures that have plagued Bradshaw in the past and resulted in screws being inserted in his feet. Brandon Jacobs will carry the load going forward, with D.J. Ware serving as his backup. We're expecting the Giants to officially update Bradshaw's status later this afternoon.

Nickelback is set to perform at halftime of the Lions-Packers Thanksgiving day game in Detroit. Lions fans aren't happy about that and have started a petition to get the team to disinvite the band. From the linked petition:

Quote:
This game is nationally televised, do we really want the rest of the US to associate Detroit with Nickelback? Detroit is home to so many great musicians and they chose Nickelback?!?!?! Does anyone even like Nickelback? Is this some sort of ploy to get people to leave their seats during halftime to spend money on alcoholic beverages and concessions? This is completely unfair to those of us who purchased tickets to the game. At least the people watching at home can mute their TVs. The Lions ought to think about their fans before choosing such an awful band to play at halftime.

They complain like people like me will even watch the whole game, not to mention I rarely watch half-time during a game. Sean Lee was fit for a cast today, won't play Sunday but I hope he can play with 1 hand the rest of the way.

I would not associate detroit with nickelback.

With a high murder rate, high unemployment rate, crummy cold weather, etc yes....but no not with nickleback.

Too bad the players and owners were able to work out some of their differences and sign a 10 year CBA, eh? Hoping there are no opt-out clauses in this one.

Darth please don't take this wrong as there was another post below yours that also irks me wrong... So now I will rant...

Who is "They" there is 700k ppl living in Detroit, and 3k ppl have complained do not associate they being the majority of people from our city. You guys don't Live in Detroit you don't have half a clue how rough it is in the inner city having a 30% unemployment rate.

Finally Detroit has something to be proud of in the Lions and all everyone does is ***** piss and moan about how we have a dirty team, How were a horrible city, how we don't deserve this and that. If any other City had a team play like the Lions it is ok but O god No Not Detroit. It was ok for the Raiders to be Dirty in the late 80's, the Early 90's it was Dallas, a few years ago it was Pittsburgh, maybe the "Dirty" and "Mean" thing is the identity Detroit needs to be taken seriously in this league.

Has any other city pulled off a outdoor Super Bowl like Detroit did? Has any other city had as nice a Baseball All Star game as Detroit did? Or how about the Final 4 or Wrestlemania a few years ago that was also one of the better events in history.

I have been to New York, Atlanta, Houston and such and I watch as people take a few steps back whenever I say im from Detroit, people need to stop reporting the negative about Detroit, and start reporting the positive. Like I said at the beginning Darth its not about you, and maybe I misread/misinterpreted your post, if so im sorry.

And what does New Jersey have, Snookie and The Situation? Seriously how ignorant can you be, quit assuming the 3k ppl that posted onn that "petition" speak for the majority of the 700k people that live in Detroit.

4-4 record after starting the season 1-4 would be hilarious, wonder how much longer till they implode on Norv. Wish Sea Bass were more definite, would've already added him to my fantasy roster again if that were the case.

Detroit's a Great sports town with nutty passionate fans like myself. Granted the "Big 3" are hurting and it's inner-city is brutal, but the place is made up of tough, hard working, good people. I enjoy Motown, and at the end of the day, they don't give a shit about the halftime band. They care about the Lions beating the Pack on Turkey Day.

Sources are lost.
