There should be a mechanism in place where if official slips in that situation play is stopped and the ball is marked. Too much at stake for a season to be potentially decided by an official unable to keep his feet.

Cowboys' playoff chances take a hit with Atlanta beating Tampa Bay on Monday Night Football. The Cowboys need Carolina and/or Atlanta to lose its final two games, Detroit to lose once and win their final two games to qualify.

Falcons play the Panthers and the Saints, they could easily go 0-2.

I wonder how busy Stephen Jones will be when the Competition Committee gets together at the combine to discuss potential rule changes. We still don't know what is a catch. Even though it benefited the Cowboys against the Raiders, the fumble out of the end zone leading to a touchback might get reviewed by the committee. But I wonder if it is time to do away with the chains. Jason Garrett is a traditionalist. He likes the chains, but there has to be a better way to measure first downs with the technology available. That the Cowboys' season potentially came down to the link of a chain and whether the crew had the sticks level seems a bit much for a billion-dollar industry.

Luck already headed to a second surgery and running QBs are almost never the same after brutal knee injuries. Jury definitely out on both.

Rod Smith is actually more versatile and explosive than Alfred Morris, wouldn't be surprised to see him become Zeke's caddy this week.
