The thing is I never hear the media praising him. They talk about him constantly but I rarely hear them talking positively about him, and Merril Hoge seems to hate Tebow so much I wonder if Tebow killed someone in his family because I don't know how an analyst can hate a player so much.

I can't believe the first scoreless game at the half this season is Pats-Giants. I never thought that was possible. Usually the scoreless games are between two garbage teams like Rams-Browns.

You should have heard them after the Donkeys beat Miami. They talked about him like he was a God for beating the Dolphins...

I heard plenty of people talking about him after that game and the general consensus was that he was terrible for 55 minutes and great for 5. I didn't once hear anyone say he played a great game, just that he was great down the stretch.

I also think Tebow gets a lot more criticism than is warranted. He's a second-year QB on an absolutely terrible team. They have no proven receivers, no good running backs, a terrible offensive line, and the second-worst scoring defense in the league. You could put Aaron Rodgers on Denver and it's still at best a five win team. If anyone else was playing quarterback on that team nobody would care but since it's Tebow it gets full segments on SportsCenter.

I guess I watch the wrong thing when it comes to the NFL. But again, my options are limited since I live in Canada...

Yes, people said this. However they inevitably followed it with statements such as "Tebow figures out a way to win" and flipped a number of Sports-casters to say he'll clearly be a good long term QB option for someone.

That's undue praise. No other QB in the league would get _any_ praise for a performance that bad against one of the worst teams in the NFL. The fact that he gets SOME is the praise that drives people like me nuts.

Kyle Orton has that same game and people would have been calling for him to be out of the league. Tebow does and he's "shown" he's a "winner". And could you imagine if Tony Romo had that game?
