The league has informed the Fritz Pollard Alliance that the Raiders fulfilled the Rooney Rule in their head-coaching search by interviewing two minority candidates.

SiriusXM's Alex Marvez reports presumptive Raiders coach Jon Gruden is expected to hire Rams QBs coach Greg Olson as his offensive coordinator.

The longtime NFL coordinator served as Gruden's QBs coach and offensive coordinator Gruden's final year in Tampa (2008). He was fired from his most recent coordinating job in Jacksonville in the middle of the 2016 season. Olson served as Raiders coordinator from 2013-14. Gruden had previously believed to be targeting Jets OC John Morton, who would be a better hire than Olson.

Sounds like sour grapes by ESPN to me. However after the aborted before its time dynasty in Dallas, I'll add my two cents. New England was a perfect storm. All 3 men deserve equal credit. None of them have achieved without the other two, especially Kraft and Belichick.

Success is a ladder in my experience. Sometimes you fall off the ladder. Doesn't mean you don't get back up on that ladder and try a different way to climb to the top.

Should be some good games this weekend, we'll see how many I get to catch between going to the movies and running.

I'd assign the credit 80% to Brady, 18% to Belichick, maybe 2% to Kraft. Seriously, what did Kraft do except spend the money on his investment? He has no special football knowledge from all accounts I've heard. Giving him equal credit as Brady is ridiculous. He merely lucked out.

Neither Belichick nor Kraft has the slightest idea Tom Brady was a good QB, let alone an all-time great. Had Bledsoe not gotten hurt chances are he would have been the Pats starter several more years and Brady would have ended up somewhere else while Belichick would likely have failed with the Patriots as hard as he did with the Browns.

Well they’re obviously already involved in the football coaching world. These interviews are a complete waste just to satisfy this rule. Good grief, it’s not that hard to see. No MBA required for that one!

I don’t know but that part about Brady complaining about not getting player of the week or new players calling him Sir sound like BS. They just said on Sunday he donated both his league MVPs to the hall of fame because he is all bout winning Super Bowls and he’s gonna complain about player of the week? Not to mention it’s been 17 years and now everybody is getting upset. I’m good I’ll just enjoy wild card weekend and wait for the pats to play next week.

Run-roh.....trouble in Patriotsville. Wow, just wow! I knew about the trainer and how that rubbed Belichek the wrong way, but didn’t know the cracks in the foundation ran so deep.
Well even if they imploded in the playoffs, and that’s a massive IF, five championships and arguably the most dominant organization, for such an extended period of time, in all NA sports is no small feat.
