I get that Bell wants finanacial secuirty. Assuming Pitt tags him, he would get a 1yr/100% guaranteed deal ~15mil, and if he doesn’t get hurt Zeke might have a contract done that would help Bell make more.

I don't think zeke is gonna get what bell gets not as dynamic in the passing game. But my whole point is clearly they don't wanna pay bell 15 million a year with around 35 million guaranteed so just let him leave. I just don't understand tagging people over and over if you don't intend to pay them.

I don't get the franchise tag either but I'm not a front office person either. If Cousins leaves, Washington will be up the creek with no QB.

He has financial security already. Now he’s just being greedy (almost are of them are). Pitt offered him a deal last year and he refused.

Excited about Vrabel! We’ve always had soft coaches. This dude is anything but soft. Really liked him on Hard Knocks. He ain’t messing around. It’s a risky move, but I’ve always wanted someone brand spanking new. We don’t know who he’ll hire for OC... which is pivotal if Mariota is ever going to have a chance with this team.

New coach and new jerseys next year! Fresh start, baby!

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Ohio State co-offensive coordinator Ryan Day is a candidate for the Titans' offensive coordinator position.

Day has worked with Chip Kelly on several occasions (he also played for him at the University of New Hampshire), most recently serving as his QBs coach when Kelly held the head job in San Francisco in 2016. Marcus Mariota thrived in Kelly's fast-paced scheme at the University of Oregon and could have similar success under Day. Tennessee featured one of the league's slowest offenses with Mike Mularkey calling the shots in 2017.

Looks about right to me, pretty much what we can expect today. Jaguars game should pretty much be over before the 4th quarter, whereas the Vikings-Eagles game should be a slugfest.

Of course they intend to pay him. If they didn’t they would’ve cut/dealt him last season and used the resources elsewhere. Not rocket science.
The problem is Pitt has quite a few top tier players at their respective positions and obviously can only pay at the cap. Then factor in Ben could retire at any minute which would be a huge factor in what their immediate plans would entail. The tag gives them, and pretty much any team, the luxury of playing the waiting game one more season to see how the fluidity affects that team. Again not rocket science.
They are just not going to let a player like Bell walk. What, are you Bell’s agent? Lol!
