That's a tough one. Romo has a larger body of choking work, but Palmer hasn't even given himself a chance to be considered a choker. I'd classify him as a what if. Lots of talent, but lost a lot of it after that brutal injury.

You might be tired of those teams, but the teams that deliver the biggest ratings are the Steelers, Patriots, New York teams, Green, Bay, Philly, and Dallas. That's why I think if the Bengals win 1 of their next 2, which won't be easy with games against the Steelers and at the Ravens then the week 13 game will be the Bengals-Steelers game even if the Lions and Saints both win the next 2 weeks.

How about both bow down to the true NFL god, Tim Tebow

I'm glad he's gone. He completely stopped trying during the Giants game. Here's an analysis of his second-half effort by the Boston Globe's Greg Bedard:

Quote:
On three consecutive plays, he was thrown to the ground with one arm, pancaked to the ground after he stopped moving his feet, and again thrown to the ground by a guard (David Diehl) that other Patriots regularly beat all day.

“On the ground three-straight times and didn’t seem at all to mind!” one personnel executive told Bedard. “Just stopped moving his feet on each play.”

Haynesworth’s last snap in a Patriots uniform was when he was easily pushed out of the way on Brandon Jacobs‘ touchdown.

Interesting article about the impending free agency of Packers tight end Jermichael Finley. Finley is definitely going to receive the franchise tag and he may try to argue that he is really a wide receiver and not a tight end. The difference is major as the franchise number is expected to be $5.5 million for a tight end and $9.5 million for a receiver. Finley could argue that he lines up more wide or at the slot than on the line.

yeah good luck, he hasn't even put up franchise tight end numbers let alone receiver so no way that's going to happen.

Mike Silver from Yahoo is a tool. His power rankings are just plain moronic. How are the Patriots and Falcons ranked #6 and #7 respectively while putting the Texans and Bengals at #13 and #14 respectively. Saints lead the division and has beaten the Falcons yet they are #9 while they are #6. God it's horrible: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_yl...fection_110911

There is one power ranking that matters and that's the Lombardi trophy, everything else is hogwash.

I like the way the Green Bay Packers are owned and operated more than any other sports franchise. The fans own the team and it's operated like a non-profit. Even with no cash return on investment I'll bet those shares are bought up in no time. I wish more sports franchises were run that way.

The defending Super Bowl champions Green Bay Packers are planning to sell stock to the public next week, the team's first stock offering since 1997.

But purchasers will know going in it's a lousy investment, despite the team's terrific record so far this year, due to unique restrictions on the shares of the not-for-profit company.

The would-be investors aren't allowed to sell their shares, which likely will cost more than $200 each, for a profit. They won't get a dividend. There's no way to buy enough shares to own a significant stake in the team, which is run by a board of directors.

But experts in the field of team sales say demand for shares is likely to outstrip supply, due to the team's loyal and widespread fan base.

"It's all about pride of ownership. It's a great vanity purchase, as a lot of sports teams are, but at a much lower price point," said Sal Galatioto of Galatioto Sports Partners, one of the leading firms involved in the sale of sports franchises. "It's a great thing to hang on the wall."

The Packers, the only undefeated National Football League team at the halfway point of his season, plan to use the funds raised by the sale to make about $130 million in improvements to their stadium, Lambeau Field, including adding about 6,600 seats to the south end zone. The improvements are expected to be complete in time for the 2013 season.

The shareholder fans will get a stock certificate and can log onto the team's website to buy merchandise reserved for shareholders only. And they also can attend an annual meeting and get quarterly reports on the team's operations.

There are currently 4.8 million shares in the Packers owned by 112,158 different shareholders. Given the estimated $1.1 billion value of the team, according to Forbes magazine, the industry-recognized source of team valuations, each share is worth about $229. Shares cost $200 in the 1997 offering.

The team is the only publicly owned franchise in the league, which has rules preventing any other team from being owned by a company, whether publicly or privately held.

Reminds me of when Suggs wanted to be franchised as a defensive end and not a linebacker. I believe they went through the tape and he lost that argument.

Darren McFadden (foot) has been declared out for Week 10.
As expected, Michael Bush will make his second straight start against the Chargers' 18th ranked run defense, with rookie Taiwan Jones serving as his change-of-pace backup. McFadden will be nearly a month removed from his injury when the Raiders travel to Minnesota in Week 11, but has yet to even resume running. If he doesn't return to practice next Wednesday, it will be an ominous sign.

In Suggs situation they ended up splitting the difference between defensive end and linebacker. The defensive end franchise number was $8.879 million, and the franchise linebacker number was $8.065 million, so the team and Suggs agreed to an $8.5 million salary.

The problem I have with Jermichael Finley is really he's only had 1 nice season, he missed almost all of last year. I'd make him earn a better contract, which may be why they're going to franchise him before serious discussion begins. On another note, Jason Witten should have the second most receptions ever for a tight end by 2013.

I’ll probably be buying a share when this goes live.

When taking that stadium tour a couple months ago….they were talking about the upcoming stock sale and explaining how u don’t get anything….u’re basically helping the franchise out and funding the improvements.

The plaque u put the stock certificate in is worth more than the stock itself.

The worst part is even though he had 1 good season so far….some team would give him the money he wants.

In a mild surprise the Bucs claimed Albert Haynesworth off waivers. Most people expected him to go unclaimed after he clearly gave up Sunday against the Giants. The Bucs just lost Gerald McCoy for the season so they did need a defensive tackle.

Albert Haynesworthless was claimed by Tampa Bay, guess they're desperate with Gerald McCoy out for the year.
